Has anyone had trouble in the past when getting the Iphone of porting over your old number.

The problem is where I lived before, and where I had my verizon number, isn't exactly in an AT&T Service area.

So if I enter my current zip it says "Number cannot be ported" and if I enter my old zip, where I initally bought that number with Verizon, it says "AT&T Service is not available in this area yet"

I found the old zip trick by surfing the web, but has anyone else had any issues with this? I'd really hate to give up my number I've had for 8 years.

Yikes... can you go to a store and ask them if it's possible? I'm sure they can figure out something.

if you pre ordered from the Apple store you may be getting it as early as tomorrow. I have seen one already that someone posted pics of in another forum
