LOL, I know what you mean. I'm trying to come up with every reason not to get one. The experience I'm referencing is with the Motorola Q. It was released in May 2006 for a retail of roughly $499.99. They are still going on ebay for around $200.

Exactly what I was going to say. The Q is going for roughly $200-$250 depending on what's included (USED). I'm about to put mine up with my 2GB mini-SD card.

Apple products retain a great amount of resale value. So $300-$400 a year from now for an iPhone is not out of the question.

That and apple prices don't drop all that much. An ipod still retails for 200-400 depeding on size.

"Apple spokeswoman Jennifer Hakes said Thursday the company posted the battery replacement details on its Web site last Friday after the product went on sale. Users would have to submit their iPhone to Apple for battery service. The service will cost users $79, plus $6.95 for shipping, and will take three business days.
The procedure is similar to the one it has for the company's best-selling iPod players, but because some users will not want to live without their cell phones, Apple is also offering a loaner iPhone for $29 while the gadget is under repair."

Went to the Apple store here in Knoxville on my lunch break today. No doubt, it is a very impressive gadget. I read somewhere that they give you some kind of cloth in the box. Does that do a good job of getting the smudges off the screen? The one I messed with had fingerprints all over it, but granted, I was probably about the 500th person today that had messed with it.

They also offer a Visa card through Juniper (whoever that is) with 90 days same as cash. Every dollar you spend in the apple store (B&M, online or phone), you get 2 iTunes points and you get 1 point for every other dollar spent...and then they lost me. You have to spend $2,500 to get a $25 gift card, lol.

I can currently control my iTunes on my computer with the phone, and I can get a picture from my iSight camera built in to my macbook.

Video Feed is under development, which means I could get a video feed directly from my computer anywhere in the world.


I can also view all files on me computer using this application

The plan is less than what I was paying with Verizon. I got the 90 days same as cash to give me a little time to pay it off. I'll put a few things up on ebay and cover the cost. You can go to apple.com/trailers/iphone in safari and view all the movie trailers that are up. Just watched the new bourne trailer and it looked great. I'm hooked. I've never had so much fun putting phone #s into a cell phone.

I just can't bring myself to spend $75/month on a cell phone...
