No, but you can turn off Cellular Data in Settings>General>Network.

Those of you that have jailborke winterboard for ios5 has been updated and is working without having to use any tweaks. There are a couple of nice themes in Cydia one Illume-HD and the other iSleek Lockscreen

Data speeds are only faster on the AT&T and GSM models. Not Verizon or sprint.

Everywhere I read and people I know with one, it seems improved. Which is great because the 4 was not bad at all.

Battery is SLIGHTLY bigger. I don't see how the battery life is going to be better considering you have a faster processor and (on AT&T) you're transferring data at a higher rate.

All the low bandwidth items result in better battery life. If you're constantly streaming data (like Netflix) you'll see the same or worse battery life than a new 4.

The processor is faster, but it is also much more energy efficient than the previous generation.

Many have reported that while not terrible, the battery life has taken a step back with the S model

It is to be expected with the higher data speeds.

I think the battery is not that great either and I have all notifications except for text messages turned off. I have brightness at less than half and a 1 minute window for the phone being on before it goes to auto lock. I will fairly soon look at investing in a mophie so not too concerned with the battery life.
