It's tough to explain. In simple terms, it'd be like having a radio system for any near by phones. They said if this happened we'd be able to use them at work for our communication system.

I remember trying to preorder for my wife. It was a hassel... site kept messing up when trying to place my order. Maybe I'll just wait.

Meh. That was known before today. It's only in response to the major loss Samsung took in the trial that just concluded.

As a consumer, I don't care personally. If one company wants to spend all their resources basically copying another right down to the feature-set, let the lawyers and courts deal with it.

It's strange when guys that have one device only take the opportunity to post in the "competitor's" thread to discuss stuff like this. Where were all the posts on the litigation Apple was awarded?

Rumored before, i guess "official" now that LTE on the iPhone is announced?

I wasn't posting it to choose a side or flame or anything. I think it's all a bunch of posturing and the only real winners are the lawyers.

Yeah, this was known before and Samsung isn't going to win this. Like someone at work was saying, this is going to kill samsungs mobile department, but they can't do anything about it really.

Samsung's mobile division will be fine. But this isn't the thread for this.

iOS 6 looks OK. Everything was as expected, I followed expecting to hear something crazy, IDK why, but a worthy upgrade nonetheless. The display should be beautiful, interested in seeing that up close.

I was expecting something new from iOS6 as well. Really disappointing.

With the larger screen real estate on the new iPhone they can easily solve the complains people have had for a while, like widgets and quick toggles.

I don't claim to know a ton of patents, but could widgets and such be a legal issue? I doubt it. It could just be Apple not wanting to so it can seem as if they are not 'copying.' IDK, either way, would be a welcomed addition.

Other than that, the Maps will be a huge upgrade over the current one, but I'm not a huge user there either.
