Have to wonder what their fix will be for this. Too many units sold to replace en-masse. Could provide a free reinforced case or something. What will come first, the fix or the class action lawsuit? Seems like 'holding it wrong' v 2.0 to me, with Apple not discussing the issue yet.

Probably closing in on 100 million phones 5+ inches (heck, could be way past it)... you cant be serious about the don't put in your pocket thing, outside of people with prohibitive wardrobes.

Unless I am on my phone, it's charging or I am sleeping it is always in my pocket.

While it might not be an issue for some, it shouldn't be an issue for anyone.

Yeah there has to be great force or repeated force to damage these phones. I'm sure they tested something like this and were like, only in extreme cases will this matter.

The internet and it's people were the extreme case.

At my old job it may have been an issue. Let's just say, I wore denim jeans and there's an outline of where my phone was in my pocket on the front of my jeans (right pocket). I worked in a stock room, constantly moving and bending down. Actually, even that probably wouldn't have done the trick because it would just have laid flat on my thigh. My upper leg isn't bending, and if it is I'd be more concerned that I broke my femur then that I damaged my phone.

Non-issue for 99.9% of people. In extreme cases, it makes it look bad. But I don't know anyone in the business of trying to bend their phones in half for fun.

This has affected WAY more than 9 phones. Macrumors is littered with people complaining their phone bent and providing pictures as proof. It's clearly not "nothing," but I also don't think it should necessarily discourage people from getting an iPhone 6 Plus, because according to Business Insider Apple is replacing bent phones for free:

Has nothing to do with whether you should or shouldn't put your phone somewhere really. All I'm saying is it looks ridiculous. I have a 6 and HTC One and they're uncomfortable enough in my pants. The five was much more comfortable. The Note... I won't even get into it in this thread.

I did it when it first came out, but I don't remember exactly what the steps were. I know you have to give them a phone they can text just like the other 2 step authentications. I do it on everything I can.

Really? Putting your phone in your pocket makes you THAT guy now? Part of me is thinking that you're talking about people that wear skinny jeans and leggings but since you didn't specify that I'm not sure. I could see a guy wearing tights with a big block in there pants looking ridiculous, but those guys already look ridiculous to me anyway.

I keep my note in my pocket and it's not even noticeable. I wear regular sized clothes, nothing fitting too tight or baggy. How should people carry their phones, in your opinion?

I think in a pocket, which isn't that noticeable anyway is much better than on a holster.
