Not sure if anyone else has run into this. I've now bought 2 different cases on ebay for my iphone 5. When I put the plastic part of the case on, my speakerphone no longer works. Everything else is fine. Nothing is blocking the speakers, it just won't allow me to speak on the phone this way. I can hear the caller speak just fine, but they can't hear me. As they say down South, it's quair.

iPhone 7 details released today. Major new "features" IMO are waterproof and the removal of the headphone jack. Here's a quick hitter on the details on the event. http://www.bostonglobe.com/business/...MDN/story.html

Re: iPhone Discussion Thread
I've got a 5 and it does what it needs to for me. My wife has a 6 and the main thing I like about it is it just runs smoother and faster. But if you aren't messing with someone else's phone, you don't notice how slow yours ends up being. Felt the same way between my 4S and her 5.
This 7 news doesn't really move the needle for me but I hardly ever adapt new tech instantly. The Lightning port headphones seems like a perfectly fine compromise especially since they package them with the phone (unless they pivot -- which they better not).
I think the best thing is the water resistance. That's the only thing that messed up my old phone. Have never cracked a phone before. I only drink occasionally...
I have an upgrade but I'll probably hold on as long as possible. I will say iPhones seem to be slowing down while the competition is moving a mile a minute. Good and bad, but it seems like they're beginning to lag behind just a smidge.
I've only seen a quick review... any appreciable battery life upgrade? That would be huge IMO.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Yea the water resistance is the main thing for me as well. And I think I read in another article that the 7 would last 1 or 2 hours longer.

Re: iPhone Discussion Thread
Missed the keynote but read a FAQ after the fact when I got home from work. My 6S Plus with iOS 10 is serving me well right now and should until the next iPhone.
I'm expecting something big next year for the 10th anniversary

Thanks to the Apple Upgrade Program, I'm all in on that 7 Plus Jet Black. The camera alone has me sold honestly, but that phone is sexy AF.Comment

Re: iPhone Discussion Thread
That has more to do with the screen technology (LCD vs OLED) than the pixel density. I will say, pixel density doesn't matter on screens this small. And the wider color gamut really does make a difference. Check out an iPad Pro vs an iPad Air. There's a pretty substantial difference. I've never loved the color recreation with Samsung screens. Everything is overly bright and over contrasted in my opinion. OLED will likely be making an appearance with their 10th anniversary phone next year.Kansas City Royals | FC Barcelona | New Orleans Pelicans

I get what you mean about the screen technology. And also agree about pixel density.
I guess it just comes down to personal preference. I like the look of the samsung OLED over the LCD.
It was just my one thing I really wish they did.

Re: iPhone Discussion Thread
I don't disagree. I just don't like the way that OLED recreates color in general. Everything is much too blue. And that's one thing that I think Apple is trying to fix before they release their version. But that could also be personal preference.Kansas City Royals | FC Barcelona | New Orleans Pelicans

Re: iPhone Discussion Thread
I did hear something on one of the iPhone YouTube channels that Apple is working on a new technology for their screen on the 8.
