LOL, I hope not. I don't know how wide appeal this is going to have. None of my co-workers really care about the Terminator movies. My wife doesn't have any interest in it except that the Firefly girl is in it, so at least she'll watch the first few episodes with me for that reason.

Oh, that's a good read. I'm happy with that direction.

I enjoyed it. Shows usually tend to improve between the pilot and the second episode too. So I've gone from expecting the worst to being excited for it.

On what date does this show start? I don't watch that How I Met your Mother show. In fact, I don't think I watch anything in that time slot. I'm fired up about this show. I'll bet it's canned though after a few weeks.

The pilot airs on Sunday the 13th at 8 pm EST, and the second episode airs Monday the 14th at 9 pm EST, which will be it's timeslot I believe, because Prison Break is on at 8 pm starting the same night.

Re: Sarah Connor Chronicles - Terminator TV show for the fall

I just finished watching the two-hour preair pilot (as in, the one that will not be airing) and all I can say is... show is gonna be heat rockz without question. The casting is top notch, as in Lena Headey is making it happen as Sarah Connor. The thing about the show is because it's a series rather than a movie, there will be less "big action scenes" and "chasing" which is good for the series. The IGN article I posted earlier was a good read, but what I'm going to like most about this show right off the bat is the character depth that will be developed throughout. The struggle between a mother and her son that have the weight of the world on their shoulders - continually running, hiding.. it's all captured so well thus far. It's something that the movies never could capture completely (for obvious reasons), but with this show it definitely has that chance. If you view the show just as a continous of T2 (and completely forget about T3 which I'm doing) then it works out perfectly. Summer Glas (so cute) as Cameron is going to be interesting -- I think she is going to have a challenge to channel the cyborg side of her character (which basically was all Arnold had to do) with showing human qualities too. Anyhow, the series is definitely going to be added to my constant rotation and could easily become one of my new favorite shows - it has that potential especially if you're a big Terminator head.

And, being that one of the scenes was taking out I'm debating if I want to watch it when it airs to see how they replaced it. In the original...

                              Yea, that's dumb.

I understand there is an issue of sensitivity but why does it only apply in some cases and not others?

I guarantee where ever that scene happens now I can go back and find it relating to a family that *might* find it insensitive. But because it's not a big news situation it doesn't matter. That's hypocritical. But, hey, what nut job PR enthusiast isn't?
