Well I just got back from this movie and it's one helluva ride fellas. Now I will say if you hated the first one then you will hate this one. But I'll say this, if you liked the first one then you will LOVE this one. This one is a lot more than the first one IMO as it's not just a typical gore film which is what a lot of folks complained about in regards to the first one. This one actually has some things in that will make you stop and think. There are also a couple of great twists to the ending (which make you think more). It's got a great ending IMO.
Oh and as for the gore, it's just horrendous, I'd say worse than the first, especially one scene which just nearly made me fall over (you people will know when you see it the one I'm talking about).
So in closing, I know the reviewers for the most part have pretty much been 50/50 on this with some trashing it as "just more gore" and others praising it saying it's better than the first (I think it was 55% at Rottentomatoes.com this morning) but do yourself a favor if you at all enjoyed the first and go check this out as it's one of the few movie series where the sequel is quite clearly superior to the original in nearly every way.
I'm glad I ignored the reviewers and just went and saw it.
