Guys, what's the best or easiest web building page to buy? I'm not into html that much but always thought about trying my own web page. Do i need to go through my provider to get a page? Hopefully you tech guys will guide me.

I'm not that big into HTML and PHP either. I spent a few months looking at templates to get me started and then searched the net for how-to's on doing the HTML modification. I use Dreamweaver and Microsoft Expression to create and modify my pages. Both require some HTML knowledge to truly make them your own, but you can also build the page visually, making tweaks in the code while going along. I find that to be a life saver.

Netfirms provides NetObjects Fusion, which is a simple point and click builder. It doesn't allow for the control that I am looking for, but it is a solid program.

Most hosts will provide some kind of design software, though ISP's normally suck when it comes to web design.

I use Wordpress for my blog, but you can create webpages with the software. It's almost all blind coding with trial and error, but the pages look nice.

If you're going to make a page based on html... Use CSS to your advantage. Look up some how-to's on both html and css.

Use that. Learn some XHTML, and CSS and you can make a simple webpage.

                Lazy bum!

You'll never be truly satisfied by your page until you can do it yourself.

I may be lazy but that's because i'm disabled. Also, i understand the feeling of self satisfaction on doing something that's difficult so i'm with you on that part of it.

You could go with Front Page or Publisher. Neither of them will give you a lot of bells and whistles, but it'll do for building a simple webpage.

Just a quick note. FrontPage doesn't exist anymore. It's called Microsoft Expression now. Just in case you're searching for it.

                              Re: Web Page

I started out with Adobe GoLive, but have always found Frontpage/Expression to be more comfortable. Maybe that's because I work a lot with Office.

I think, if you are going to do something more on the personal side, Expression would be fine. You don't need to be investing in Dreamweaver unless you will be doing multiple sites.

Best of luck. If you're like me, you'll find it fun, and what's really neat is looking back at some of your first works and then comparing them to what you are presently doing.

Whatever you do, stay the heck away from Times New Roman font.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.
