    The Wonder Years

Does anybody know when/where there are reruns of The Wonder Years on? While I was at the beach I found a cable station (ion) that shows the show Mon-Fri at 10 and 10:30. I don't get that station at home and I haven't seen The Wonder Years in my usual channel surfing. Anybody know? Its hard to tell when the show will get released on DVD.

It may never get released b/c of the songs that were used in each episode..copyright issues. I guess they could go in and remove the songs, but they were a integral part of the show.

      That is a real shame.

I'm still waiting for the American DVD release of the 1976 Rich Man Poor Man, one of the highest rated mini series of all time and the actual spring board for all miniseries. There most be some sort of legal entanglement delaying it's release, but I don't know what it is. The Wonder Years is reran in the New Orleans area on a small local station twice a day, different episodes.

I've been watching it on that Ion station lately. I loved the Wonder Years, but I'm not big on the portion of the series they are showing right now on that station.

I'm also still waiting for the DVDs to release... oh well.

Which portion? They just showed the series finale and re-started with the pilot a couple days ago. I never realized Daniel Stern was the narrator.

That same song rights BS ruined the 'Wallace and Gromit' DVD! Great shorts, but just not the same as my old tapes!

No date and it may just be a wild guess on their part but they have it setup to notify you when it gets announced and figured anything might be helpful...

On a side note, Ive been waiting for a year or so to find out when Nash Bridges is set to come out and still nothing definitive so I guess take that link with a grain of salt.

I actually have all the wonder years episodes on DVDs..well did have them all (missing one of the discs i let someone borrow them). A guy on some message board a few years ago said that he taped all the reairings and burned them to DVDs. I think i paid $40 shipped via paypal....it was 6 discs.

Some of the episodes including the series finale were on youtube. i think most of them have been taken down though.

Nick At Nite showed them for awhile. But they seem to be too enamored with Fresh Prince, Cosby Show, and Roseanne.

Yeah.. they COULD attempt to just use replacement songs, but... eh.

Actually I think that would be a great line up if you replaced Roseanne with Wonder Years... I'd be watching every night.

a number of years ago nick at night ran a lengthy wonder years marathon. it was great because i had originally watched the first few seasons but grew up and lost interest in the last few. this allowed me to catch up, and i'll admit that i shed a tear or two on the final episode.
