    ESPN My Wish

I'm sure most of you guys have cuaght this segment on ESPN in the past. They have started them up again and tonight is one where a little boy gets to meet David Ortiz.

What they do is take someone with a serious illness and basicly make one of their wishes come true by allowing them to meet one of their sports heroes.

Now, ESPN has a tendency to lay on the drama with these segments, but I don't care. They get me every time. You're sitting there watching someone, who in many cases has been given a short period of time to live, and their faces are just filled with so much joy when they get to meet these athletes.

It's really a beautiful thing, and if you haven't seen them, be sure to check them out on Sportscenter.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.

yeah they're great... I love when ESPN does these type of things... shows how sports can bring people together even in crisis.

The Dwayne Wade and Jimmie Johnson ones really got to me. It shows a much softer side to the athletes, and I gained a lot of respect for them.

I also have a lot of respect for those kids seeing what they have been through.

The athletes also seem to care a lot, which makes it even better.

They are really touching, and I wish they would do things like this more often.
