Suggest a computer monitor

I've got an Apple MacBook and an Xbox 360 and I'm looking for a computer monitor that can utilize both.

HD Widescreen is a must.

I'd like to be able to do a Picture in Picture or split screen thing between the 360 and the computer, though it isn't a must because I could just see the computer stuff on the built in computer screen.

It'd be nice to have HDMI(though I have no reason for it at this exact moment) and a place for a cable input if I want to hook it up as a normal TV at some point.

Nothing incredibly large because I'm going to be using it in a dorm room at school. The thinner the better, though that seems to be a given nowadays.

Basically, it's going to double as a computer monitor and an Xbox 360 monitor in my dorm/apartment for the next few years of school.

I'm not looking to spend more than 300 dollars and I'm probably going the direction of Ebay on it.


Any suggestions?

My Dell monitor works flawlessly with my 360, but since you've got a Mac, I think you're out of luck. If your interested though:

I pretty much have the same setup as the one you want, except with a Dell PC. I've got it in my apt at school, doubling as my computer and my HD display for my 360.

Since that monitor has a DVI input, it should work just fine with a Macbook. The only thing you would need is a mini-DVI to DVI adapter.

I hook up my Powerbook to a 19" Dell LCD and it looks great. I kind of use it as a desktop -- I plug in my monitor, USB keyboard and mouse, and just shut the laptop to put it into clamshell mode.

as a TV/360 player/extended monitor and will take it to college with me next year to use with the 360 and a second monitor for my laptop. So that is my suggestion.

sorry if this is a bit off topic. However, does anybody know what type of monitor I would need to get to hook up a PS3. Are there any VGA cables available for the PS3?

Recently bought this monitor for $200... AMAZING, amazing monitor. You will NOT be disappointed. The colors just POP of this thing.
