    Gaming laptop?

Up until now I have done all my gaming on a pc desktop...for may reasons including monitor size and videocard choice.

Now laptops seem to be catching up. Does anyone have reccomendations on a good laptop performer that is not going to cost me an arm and a leg? I know you can go out there and find awesome stuff for 4 or 5K but that is really out of my league.

Any solid performers with decent monitors and solid vid cards that I won't regret buying in 6 months?

    Thanks for any help...

    C

PS: I play mostly sports games (MVP, Madden) and WWII shooters...

I would think for a gaming laptop that you're not going to regret buying in 6 months, you'd better get comfortable with the fact that your going to have to shell out some dough.
I'm getting a FREE Xbox 360 Elite and you can too!

I don't know all that much about the laptops, but if I were you I'd look into the "desktop replacement" ones that are bigger/a little bulkier. Those tend to have better vid cards and stuff, at the sacrifice of weight/size.

Try the new Dell Inspirion 1721 Series or the new line of XPS laptops although they're only 13.3" screens. You can get a nicely fitted 1721 for $1300.

I just bought a Dell Inspirion 1521 Notebook which is average for gaming for $549 plus tax. It's more for internet and RTS games.

I heard Dell's are full of bloatware that can slow down your machine and gaming. Do you guys find this is true?

Yes and so is every off the shelf laptop. At least with Dell they send you a CD so when I get mine the first thing i'll do is format the sucker.
