Interactive DVD games, are they good?

I've heard they are real hit and miss with people. Opinions?

I bought my niece The Price Is Right DVD game and I wasn't that impressed.

The Deal or No Deal game is pretty bad. Some of the Scene It games are ok. The problem you run into with those is that they rarely change, i.e. with the offers in Deal or No deal. With no real human component on the other end, you lose half the fun. This happens with most of the game show DVD games.

I don't like them. I've pretty much kept it to the Trivial Pursuit DVD games, and IMO the DVD portion just breaks up the pace too much.

I would also imagine they would get repetetive...a major no-no for game nights.

I have the trivial pursuit one, it's okay. I would rather play a regular board game.
