Which Transformers cartoons did you find enjoyable?

Mine has to be G1 since I grew up watching that series and I also felt like Beast Wars did a good job of giving that old school G1 feel to it.

gen 1 and beast wars were indeed the best IMO. all others have sucked bad.

The G1 stuff, but I went back and watched them on Youtube last night since I was very tempted to order the dvd's from amazon. The cartoons are terrible! LOL I mean, wow, I gave it 3 ep's and gave up, I'm going to keep my childhood memories for those, because they did not hold up...AT ALL. The movie does though, no clue how, maybe because more production went into it.

I watched a few epi's of Armada on Youtube since I never saw that series and it wasn't too bad. I was reading it gets better towards the end.

EG, its funny how badly G1 kind of holds up in 2007. I recommend if your going to buy them, don't spend the inflatted prices........Sony is re-releasing the SEASON box sets in a few months since they own the rights now to G1.

I'm not buying them, no chance. Unless it's really cheap like $20 for the entire thing, unlike the Rhino releases. I was going to buy the Chinese set anyway, all 4 seasons plus the movie for $59. But the shows are terrible, I mean really bad. They don't hold up at all.

Gen 1 but as EG has said it doesn't hold up at all these days except for a couple multi part episodes and a couple regular eps.

The Key to Vector Sigma pts 1 and 2 (Season 2)
The Five Faces of Darkness pts 1-5 (Season 3)
Starscream's Ghost (Season 3)
Grimlock's New Brain (Season 3)
The Return of Optimus Prime pts 1 and 2 (Season 3)

The movie holds up quite well tho.

I've watched some of Beast Wars but it's not really up my alley. The other TF stuff is pretty brutal from what i've seen. I should give Armada another shot tho as I only saw the first 10 episodes of it and gave up on it.

The new Transformers cartoon TRANSFORMERS ANIMATED is going to change the dynamic as the main villians will be humans and from what little i've seen the models will be based on the movie.

Yeah, they are region free, menu's are in Chinese, but easy to navigate from all reviews. The dialog is in English.

I'm excited for that new Transformers cartoon coming on Cartoon Network. Sounds like the movie, just more to it. Early 2008 is the last I heard for it's debut though.

I'm with you here, i loved what i remember of them, yet rewatching some of those, its like wowow.........talk about lame.

However i'm rewatching Beast Wars and damn is it goooooooood. I mean i remember partsyet rewatching the whole series is really great. Also re-started Reboot, good show.

I can't wait for the new Transformers Animated, it sounds like it will have potential from the stuff that I read on it.

Beast Wars was great.....like a throwback to G1. Beast Wars is hard to find in the stores, but can be had on ebay.

I recommend Armada. I haven't seen too many episodes, just a few here and there when it was on TV and a few on Youtube. From what I was reading, it really picks up in the second half of the season.

I guess i'm one of the few that likes G1. What do you expect from season 1? It gets way better when new robots in other seasosn come in and you have the destructicons, and dinobots.

I haven't seen GI Joe in so long, but i'm going to check it out to see if it still holds up today.

I agree, G1 was great back in the day. I really wish they would try the formula again with a G3......but more modernized.

Once Sony re-releases Seasons 1-4 later this year of G1, I'll be picking them up.
