So Stonehenge and the Pyramids are no longer on the list. Rediculous.

If they want to add those others they should just have made it the "10 wonders of the world". No way the pyramids should ever get bumped.

There is the original list of 7. That's the only list I know.

does anybody really know how they made those pyramids? awhile back they were talking to some engineers who said even today those would be extremely difficult to do...just wondering.

I think we all know aliens helped in the construction of the pyramids.

Ramps and hundreds of years of several thousand slaves.

The pyramids are impressive, but the Egyptians did their thing everywhere.

I mean, the great pyramids weren't close to the first pyramids the Egyptians built. They spent hundreds of years building the Aztec style pyramids, then attempted some bastardized pyramids, and then eventually built the great pyramids.

They were certainly an nice piece of architecture, but they weren't that amazing. With the work force they had, the experience they had, the time they had, and the labor force, damn near anyone could have done it.

There are many other Egyptian stuff that's nicer, and the Romans skeet skeet on everyone with ridiculous old school buildings.

As for today, we could build a pyramid in a few weeks if the materials were ready.

i think the pyramids are still an "honorary" wonder. plus, the governing body of the UN that really decides on the wonders have no connection with this voting. This is strictly a people's vote, not official.

a reason why it would be hard to do today even with our technology, is that we don't force lots of slaves to build things for us like ants anymore. It takes years for a highway to be paved.

And somehow I doubt any snubs on this list will suffer in tourism. Stonehenge and the pyramids will always be wonders of the world. It just seems like this article is trying to point tourists to a few others.

What list? An online poll list?

This is all really just for show.

I'm not that impressed with the Brazilian statue, especially ahead of the Pyramids.

You have a lot to learn about the pyramids. Still to this day, no one (rocket scientists included) cannot make the pyramids (great one) that are in Egypt. There is more to the pyramids than the fact that they are structures. It is the mysteries of science and hidden knowledge that went into making them that is astounding.

There is no way the Pyramids should ever be left off of any lists pertainint to the wonders of man, ever. See the link below:

I thought this recent theory presented by a Frenchman was proved to have been a very likely possibility.
