Absolutely fantastic movie.
The action was right up there with any of the recent Bond films, and it was freakin' hilarious to boot.
Very top notch film, I'd recommend it to anyone.Comment

Re: Get Smart...the Movie
I actually liked this movie. Max (Steve Carrell) was bumbling, yet competent, and always likable. Ann Hathaway (Agent 99) was gorgeous as usual and had good chemistry with Carrell. The flick grossed $39+ MILLION over the weekend.

Re: Get Smart...the Movie
I glanced at RT before I checked the times since I was dead-set on seeing this regardless of the reviews and was surprised to see it have 55%. I saw it yesterday with my girlfriend and I thought it was hilarious. I haven't watched any of the actual TV episodes, so I don't know how it compares, but I thought the movie was terrific with a lot of different styles of humor while and a great cast.
And Anne was sexy.

I'm going to see it at 12, can't wait.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Get Smart...the Movie
So, I was reading some of the overviews of the reviews on RT and I should have known that the majority of the negative criticism was due to it not being the show. Oh well.

Re: Get Smart...the Movie
Saw it over the weekend, and I (to my surprise) really liked it. I thought it was close enough to the show, but not a complete rip off. Thankfully Steve Carrell didn't just do a Don Adams impersonation, which really wouldn't have played well. I grew up watching the TV show, so I probably had an idiot fanboy grin on my face during the references to the show:- The whole re-do of the show's credits
- "Shtarker, this is KAOS. We don't X here...."
- Max's handwritten notes about "The Claw (Craw)" during the opening scene
- Bill Murray's cameo
- Puddy showing up as Hymie (perfect casting, IMO)
My only real disappointment was the fact that Terrence Stamp was given hardly anything to do as Sigfried. But aside from that, the movie was a pleasant surprise and almost made up for my being dragged to see Sex and the City a few weeks ago“In my lifetime, we've gone from Eisenhower to George W. Bush. We've gone from John F. Kennedy to Al Gore. If this is evolution, I believe that in twelve years, we'll be voting for plants.” - Lewis BlackComment
