    WSOP Main Event

Day 4 kicks off today. 337 out of 6,358 entrants remain. Gus Hansen has been doing the best among name pros with over a million in chips. Huck Seed, Chad Brown, Robert Varkonyi, Scotty Nguyen, Daniel Alaei, and Spiderman Tobey Maguire are some of the big names remaining.

ESPN will be doing a live broadcast of the Final Table again like last year, so I'm sure there will be a way to stream it online.

Yeah, they're making it available on the internet or your TV via PPV, and I'm hoping for a link to be posted to the stream like there was last year.

As soon as I get comfortable in my living expenses I am gonna pay the entry fee to go play at the WSOP.

Is Daniel Negreanu still alive? I picked him to win it this year.

Jamie Gold almost makes me want to become anti-semetic.

Have you looked into one of the lower buy-in events? They start as low as $1,000 and NLHE has several $1,500 events. I'll probably go for a couple of those when I turn 21 unless I satellite into the Main Event, which is more of a crapshoot.

Tobey Maguire has been eliminated. 200th place I think, third cash in the WSOP for him.

I don't understand why so many people honestly feel like they can win these poker tournaments. It is gambling, period. Skill matters in the home games, not 100+ player tournaments, where it only helps you last longer. Just seems like a waste of money to me.

And before I get the standard "It's luck because you aren't good..." comments, trust me when I say I know the game.

The people with poker skill know that the odds are they won't win the tournament, or even place for that matter. That still doesn't keep playing from being +EV. On the other hand, Joe Blow who got in via a Party Poker satellite is probably making a mistake by not taking the $10K.

Your paying 10k for being part of the event. Honestly its not about winning the thing.

                          Its an expensive vacation.

Scotty Nguyen's my pick to take this, which would be his 2nd Main Event title. He's been on a nice run since I last checked his chip count, now into the millions. I'm hoping at least 2 pros are alive for the final table so I'm somewhat familiar with the people that I'm (hopefully) watching.
