Re: Psych
This is one of those shows I don't think would ever get old to me, I don't know what it is about it but somehow I'm always laughing. Definitely sad to see it go.Comment

Re: Psych
When it was announced I was thinking the crew knew it was the last season the whole time, but now not so much. Now I am surprised USA didn't order at least a 6-8 episode wrap up season.Comment

Re: Psych
I know Maggie Lawson had that other show that lasted like 2 episodes. Maybe that had something to do with it. Maybe they thought she would be leaving. I'm just spitballing.Comment

Re: Psych
Shooting ended late last summer. So I wonder if they had to come back to film this episode or they were informed with just enough time to modify the last episode.
The finale only brought in 1.9 million viewers which is pretty low. Monk was just under 10 million and Burn Notice did around 5. I think we will see something more in the future via a crowd funding project.Comment

Re: Psych
I suspect they knew this was the last season when they found out they were only getting 10 episodes. If USA had confidence in the show, they would have given them the normal number of episodes for the season.
Some basic thoughts on the finale:
SpoilerThe proposal was predictable, but I'll forgive it. The ring being stolen was amusingly appropriate for the show. I liked that the last episode wasn't super-dramatic, it didn't necessarily tie a bunch of loose ends from previous years together, it was just like a normal episode for the most part, proposal aside of course. There were a few episodes this last season that were pretty stand-alone, perhaps because they didn't have enough episodes for a lot of other story lines to slowly develop, so this was pretty in-line with that. I'd have preferred it not be that way, but I accept that due to the shortness of the season, and the limited availability of Juliet that it might have been for the better. All in all, I liked how things ended.Comment

SpoilerI totally agree. This felt like a regular episode of Psych outside of the proposal feeling a tad forced, and I felt like they did a damn good job of tying things together for us. The use of the video recording as a way of telling the story and saying goodbye was perfect. It gave the perfect combo of Shawn struggling with a tough emotional moment, and a little bit of funny too as he gave one to literally everyone. Also, loved all the guest appearances...getting Billy Zane and Kilmer after years of name dropping them in a bunch of episodes was a nice touch to those who've been following since the beginning. All in all, I was sad to see it end...I've followed the show since the beginning and am definitely going to miss it.Check out my Houston Astros Dynasties:

SpoilerIt was the guy who really played Bud.
I didn't know who he was, but that was another cool special guest.

I can't lie, I may have teared up a little bit at the end. Thought it was a perfect ending, this will definitely go down as one of my favorite shows ever.Comment
