    Indiana Jones Trilogy

So, I went through the three Indiana Jones films this past week after years of not seeing them and I can't wait for the new movie out next year. The whole B-movie action/adventure vibe is terrific (of course), and I think it would be really cool in the whole atmosphere to see the films in black and white.

Also, is it just me, or is the beginning of Temple of Doom similar to an opening for a Bond movie?

    Re: Indiana Jones Trilogy

The original is just that: original. From the giant rolling ball of death to the whole snake thing and the elusive ending it was/is just a complete blockbuster in every definition of the word. The second had its' moments, but with an annoying supporting cast, it was a letdown. The 3rd is serviceable, but Sean Connery sharing the screen with Ford was/is just too much star power to pull off. These were Ford's movie and Connery should never have been brought in.

I prefer the first one...though I enjoyed them all.

I remember getting creeped out watching 'Temple of Doom' as a kid with the whole heart ripping thing, and then upon watching it as an adult, realizing how petty the effects were!

Great series and I can only "hope" that Spielberg and Lucas don't blow it (but I have an inkling that grandpa Indy will probably be a huge disappointment).

Raiders, Last Crusade, Doom. That is the only acceptable order for preferring these movies. All are good, though.

Raiders was the best but a little too dark for my tastes. Temple of Doom was too cheesy and comedic. Crusade had the right mix of seriousness and cheesy moments and for me that's probably the best of the 3 in terms of my preference so I picked it.

Looking at it from an unbiased perspective it's definitely Raiders.

I guess I'm going to be alone in this one, but I thought Doom was the best, then Crusade, then Raiders. I agree that all were good though.

I liked them all, but Last Crusade is my favorite. Maybe not the "best" but it's the one I always enjoy the most. After that Raiders then Temple of Doom. I've seen them all at least 10 times apiece though, so none of them are bad.

Same for me too...I've seen them all a billion times, and am a huge Indy fan, so they're all great to watch. I enjoy Crusade the most because of the Ford/Connery interaction...perhaps not the "best" but coolest to me.
