What is going on with our Sports World?

Dog killings, Steroids, DUI's, who's going to jail next? Now crooked professional refs? Killings families and suicides? This is the worst i've ever seen sports in my lifetime. It's really heart breaking to see what I love and you love become a complete joke. Where are the sports hereo's when you need em? If any, this is time for someone to make a difference in our Sports World.

I'm sure a lot of you are disgusted with it and I just wanted to share frustration. I invest so much of my time with sports in some way that all of things that are happening is like getting spit in the face.


I'm just glad atleast I get to watch Beckham for the first time playing in the MLS.

I believe this kind of crap was always going on, just now we have a lot of ways finding out about it, news, TV, internet, and other sources. You name it.

Plus another reason is there is so much money in sports now, that it isn't really a sport any more it is a business.

You even hear players talking about things being business and thats why they don't care about being traded. I personally remember the days when players played with alot more passion, would take less money in order to stay with their team. Now it seems like everybody is greedy and there is no such thing as loyalty anymore. Yea, it sucks to invest the amount of time you do into something and see the people you look up to and idolize squander their great privileges and opportunities. It almost makes you long for a sports league full of Scabs. Guys that just play for love of the game, maybe the product takes a hit, but the players are better people.

It almost makes you long for a sports league full of Scabs. Guys that just play for love of the game, maybe the product takes a hit, but the players are better people.

Tell you the truth if you had scabs you would have some pretty average players. I want to see the best that is what makes it great, at least to me.

He, his wife and their "new" fans is a perfect example of how people in America are being sold, left and right. The almighty dollar is to blame for making sports predictable and shallow.

I agree with you, but it was something to atleast look forward to. Its not even close to breaking laws, taking steroids, and rigging games.

True, and I don't mean to speak down on his abilities. It just rubs me the wrong way how he's instantly America's hero.
