Target has the best price, will be picking this up in blu ray since it is cheaper.

I'm going with the HD-DVD, Fry's has it for $27 + the HD-DVD has more features than the BD.

Yes, all I have to do is print the listing off of their website and the Best Buy I go to will just price match it for me.

Altimus, here's the HD-DVD review over at highdefdigest.com:

            Final Thoughts
'300' is all CGI sturm and drang, a piece of Greek myth-making so bold, in-your-face and pummeling one is reminded of that famous line from 'Gladiator' -- "are you not entertained!?" For me, '300' has about as much heart as the Tin Man, but as far as CGI action-porn goes, it just doesn't get any better than this.

It also doesn't get much better than this HD DVD. The video is solid, the audio is simply kick ***, and there are so many extras (both standard and exclusive) that this one truly earns the label "cutting edge." If only to see what the HD DVD format is capable of, '300' is a must-buy.

I'm buying this baby on release day.

Can't remember the last time I did that.

I'm just letting Columbia House send me this one to finish up my commitment.

Heresy, I know...I somehow didn't see this in the theater, is this worth a buy without seeing? I'd be getting the HD-DVD version....otherwise I can get a regular dvd version free down the line (don't ask)

This is the prototypical "HD-DVD" movie. If you can, you need to get it in HD.

Personally I DID NOT think the film was all that great. It was a great piece of eye-candy, with some blood pumping action.. other than that it was SIMPLE. For some reason I was expecting more. I will be purchasing this in HD somewhere down the line, as soon as I can win an EBAY auction for a cheap HD add on for my 360.

Cause of the extras looks like I will skip on BR and get HD-DVD.

Same here. Never saw it in theaters but going with the HD-DVD over the BD because of the extra features. Ordered it off of buy.com with Google Checkout, ended up costing around $24-25 I think.

I just saw it this weekend for the 1st time. I came away feeling kind of guilty watching it. There is some underlying themes in this film that is very disturbing. And i will leave it at that.

What, people dying in war? The movie wasn't very deep, so I'm not sure what you found under the surface of the nudity, sex, violence, and objectification of women that was vividly displayed during the movie. That's how it was back in the day, by the way.
