Great movie and trilogy. I hope they do not try to do any more sequels or prequels and ruin the series.

Finally saw this tonight for the first time. Awesome. Movies like this really make you appreciate good old fashioned action sequences that don't use a bunch of CGI effects and wire kung fu. It definitely adds to the excitement factor to have real, authentic stunts like we used to see in all action movies.

They are definitely much better, so much better, you may end up hating the movies for a while. Now I've come to appreciate the movies for being solid in their own right, even while they still don't come close to the books.

Got this on HD DVD for Christmas. Watched it tonight for the first time. Great flick. I loved all three movies. Plan on reading the books now too. By the way, Julia Stiles looked great. I'm glad they gave her more screen time in this one. Always been a fan of hers.

Agreed. Heck, the first couple chapters alone are nothing like the movies. This is not a bad thing however, and like Vinny said, i'm sure i'll come to like the books and movies each in their own right.

That's what I've heard. In the past, I've tended to prefer the novels over the movies when it comes these kinds of things though. I'm looking forward to digging into them.
