    Song name help

Can't describe much, all I can really say is that it sounds like something Van Halen would play, it was playing in the background of the Giants/Dodgers game before the first pitch tonight, and if you played the most recognizable part of the intro on the guitar, you would play (on the low E string):

    E --1--------8----6

Where the distance between [1, 8] is about twice as far as [8, 6]. However, while that is being played (and before as well), there is just an extremely fast, clean, quiet, and repetitive electric guitar riff. The lead singer's voice is high-ish, at least in the beginning of the song.

Bottom line, it would be a great Guitar Hero song.

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I know what song you are talking about, but I don't have any idea what it is called either. I think it's been used in a couple commercials recently.

I'm curious to know as well.

LOL you're positive it's the same song, eh?

Yeah, I know it's been on commercials/TV shows, but do you know any of which ones? Man, I just wish I could find out what this was!

Going by the tab you posted, sounds like Baba O'Riley by the Who.

Yeah, it's the same bassline. Daltry's voice is kinda high in the song. Baba is my vote as well. A lot of people think it's called "Teenage Wasteland," so maybe that helps.

IF it was at a LA game it was probably Randy Newman. Or Acdc?

That's the song I was thinking of, just didn't know what it was called or who did it (coincidence that it is by The Who then, heh...). Wonder if it's the one Blzer was looking for.
