I think it's a great book...I lost my copy when I moved, but want to read it again. Shows how pick up artists can thrive, but I doubt it's really the lifestyle you want to live.

Agreed. It started to get depressing at the end.

Also, I meant to mention in my first post, Mystery is getting a show on VH1...it starts on Monday. You can see a trailer for it here: http://www.vh1.com/shows/dyn/the_pic...t/series.jhtml

It's been a few years since I've read that book. It's a great read. My confidence when talking with girls went through the roof after reading - although I didn't necessarily practice the methods used in the book. It really shows how stupid all us men get when trying to chat up girls.

I wanted to read this book for so long but I forgot the author and the title.

I just started reading it today, and I can't stop. The book is very intriguing. That isn't a lifestyle I'd wanna live.. Been there done that. But it is very interesting to see how these guys live and the techniques they use.

It's definitely addicting. I started on a Sunday and finished that Thursday. It's a very long book so I was shocked I finished so quickly.

Definitely...though I don't think I could stand watching Mystery's new tv show. I think it would be too painful seeing them fail first, and Mystery also annoys me...

Re: The Game by Neil Strauss

This book is unquestionably one of the most important books I have read in my life. I moved to reading Mystery Method halfway through The Game because I was looking for more instructive advice (whereas The Game is mostly a story with some advice/instruction peppered in). I did ultimately finish the book, and obviously, I really liked it. My favorite part of the book is during Style's first co-instructive teaching in Serbia (or somewhere in Eastern Europe), when he shows the diagram of how to physically place yourself among the two girls. That was really goofy funny, but also informative.

Mystery is obviously a freak in real life, but he is an unbelievably talented mPUA. Style is also a very gifted PUA but seems (on the surface and through his writings) to be less of a psycho.

I had no idea Mystery had a new TV show starting this Monday, but I am absolutely going to watch that. Hopefully it doesn't end up "MTV/VH1'ized".

I just got the thing earlier anmd I'm already at Step 4. I've never had a problem landing women in my life, but *** **** these guys are masters. haha

I also liked the part where he saved that guy at the bar, the description was hysterical... "I just stole your seat..."

EDIT: Ok, so I've now read through the first 5 steps. I'm done for the day, but this book truly is very insightful.

i tried finding this at the bookstore the other day but I told this one chick the name of the book but couldn't remember the author.

i learned of this book from pickup artist on vh1 and through wikipedia. don't read books but I think this will be worth reading.

some of the stuff that I see on that show could easily work but never thought about it like that. their typical opener where they ask a question is somewhat tough to ask in a club setting though.

i agree with the weird dudes getting chicks. Sometimes you wonder, "how in the hell is she with that guy" but after seeing this, I know why now. I still couldn't do some of that stuff though like tighter pants and putting some color in your hair.

i also heard there is a movie in the works over this book. i hope this doesn't get too popular because I'd like to use some of it just for fun. i'm an afc. haha. they got all kinds of different saying. pretty funny. i don't go out that much but will definitely be interesting seeing how people interact now that I know about this.
