lol, some of the prizes at them tournaments were great. I am not a nerd but I will still collect the Yugioh cards. I have a bunch of old baseball,Racing, Football cards. I have a autographed Dale senior card, and yes it was his real autograph from when I met him at a Fair. A Cal Ripkin Jr rookie card. Dan Marino Rookie card, and a bunch of others. I also went ahead and bit the bullet on a Adrian Peterson Rookie Card.

I bought like one pack of Pokemon cards in 6th grade, and then gave them away or something. I never got the appeal.

I've never heard of Yugioh.

Some kid I went to high school with collected magic cards, and he would always be doing stuff with them in lunch and during classes. He was a real loser, he stayed back his senior year of high school because all he did was collect and play with those cards. I'm not even sure if he managed to graduate his 2nd time through senior year.

Wow I may like the cards but I have Graduated and got a Job with 12 hour shifts...lol.

Used to play both... and I got pretty good at Yugioh. I won a couple tournaments at one of the local card shops but it just got too expensive. I stopped playing probably 2 years ago.

If there was one thing I could change about my childhood, well that's an exaggeration but it'd be one of the things I'd change, it would be to go back and keep all the money I spent on Star-Wars, Pokemon, YuGiOh and Magic cards.

I'd have a couple of thousand saved up right now.

I'm with ya man. If I had all the thousands I spent on baseball cards i'd be a rich man. I dont even wanna think about how much I spent.

Oh, and i know a dude at work that plays pokeman after work, and he's got mad chicks with him, so I'm not about to hate on that set, even though its not for me. A couple of guys play it right there in the breakroom. His main girl is smokin' hot too. I was honestly shocked. Different strokes for different folks, I guess

Really...I mean, star wars cards got up to about 6 dollars a pack and I must've bought at least 100 of those, plus a bunch of Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh cards.

I must've wasted around 2,000+ on cards.

I could have an HDTV right now.

I really wished that I sold pokemon cards when it was still huge. I never played that ****ty game or really cared but I somehow got some rare cards but I waited too long and when I tried to sell them all I was offered were more cards.

I'm the same way with my star wars cards.

I had a mint condition, black-borded Obi-Wan, Vader, Death Star, and Yoda. Back in the day I could've sold those for decent money (card wise)

I'm in the same boat as Longhorn...spent so much money on Pokemon stuff...video games, cards, etc. My Game Boy Color is probably laying around in the clutter upstairs somewhere with a Pokemon game in it.

I was a wiz at the card game, too. Ah, those were the days...

I never got into Pokemon much.

Magic and Star Wars are different. I owned all my friends at those. Had an unbeatable combination in each game that I would work towards everytime....and it always worked.

Another one of my "childhood" (quotes because it wasn't that long ago really) was the Dragonball Z card game, which I was also awesome at.

Used to play Yu-Gi-Oh in high school. Had this kid named Dante who we called the drug dealer. Would just show up with a bag full of cards for us to buy.

I used to have a Limited Addition Mirror Force. I was like treated like a God in my school at that time because I was the only one that had that card. I got also the Wing Dragon of Raa Limited Addition. How much do you guys think I would get for a Cal Ripkin Rookie card and Dale Earnhardt Senior Autographed card???? Just Wondering.

Its all about the grades these days. Raw cards sell for peanuts compared to what their high grade counterparts do. Check Ebay and see what the completed auctions sold for if your looking for a relieable selling price.
