Re: 50 finally has a good song again
"In da Club" is such a WANKSTA anthem... and he actually made a song calling Ja Rule a wanksta (they both suck)...
"P.I.M.P." is ******** too... and "Magic Stick" ---which was recorded at the same time this album was being done--- has to be the most dumbed-down piece of trash on the market at the time.
His only good song is "Ghetto Qu'ran" because he labels himself a snitcher (actually submitting to how unthuggy he really is), and coincidentally that song is the reason he got shot 9 times. Yea... I like that song.SAN ANTONIO SPURSComment

the beats suck on the radio btw... lyrics or no lyrics... people might think that southern crunk is some hot *earmuffs*... but the beats suck beyond reason...

and how can you deny the dopeness of Carter II?????? I know you are an underground head and all, but the style of Carter II is completely unique, and while completely off the wall both production wise and lyrically at points, I love it.Comment

Re: 50 finally has a good song again
Your points make no sense... at least to me... you talk about how 50 seemed to have lost his inner thug which made him tight to listen to... and you talk about "Get Rich or Die Tryin" being a good album!?

What i was trying to say with Get Rich or die trying is that he was rapping with a purpose. I mean he wasn't big nor a known name. Hearing his history and listening to some of those songs really did make him look like a real true to life gangsta who made it big. And comparing some of those tracks (Many Men) with his new ones (Straight to the bank with it) hes gone the way most rappers with money go, down. Now he raps about money and fame which isn't an interesting concept to rap about when everyone else has done so for the last 9 years now.
He needs to do what some other raps have done, go on hiatus. Probably go back to "his hood" or something to find himself cause most of his songs aren't cutting it anymore. However i still do like Ayo TechnologyComment

Re: 50 finally has a good song again
"But when he's been involved with songs like Patiently Waiting, Many Men, In Da Club, Don't Push Me, Gotta Make it to Heaven, Lifes on the Line, You Not Like Me, 50 bars, Too Hot, Who You Rap With, Ghetto Quaran...you have to respect his musical talent. He even made Yayo hot on the original G Unit album. Plus all the songs hes done with Eminem, Obie, Proof, Game even....so much dopeness."
That's what's up. Great post.Originally posted by EWRMETSMaybe the best post in OS's history. If you don't think Tony Romo is a Hall of Famer, you support al Qaeda.Comment

Re: 50 finally has a good song again
Lay off the haterade, homie. How can you not respect GRODT? 50 has a nice catalog of good songs. I like "Guess Whos Back" in its entirety, and GRODT is a classic mainstream album. Sure, PIMP and Magic Stick style songs are garbage and have gotten worse over the last few years, but you have to give it to 50.....hes a smart guy, he even came up with good albums by Banks and Buck (their debuts). That said I'm not really expecting much from 50 in the future. He's hit his peak. But when he's been involved with songs like Patiently Waiting, Many Men, In Da Club, Don't Push Me, Gotta Make it to Heaven, Lifes on the Line, You Not Like Me, 50 bars, Too Hot, Who You Rap With, Ghetto Quaran...you have to respect his musical talent. None of those songs you listed by 50 are in my mind a piece of work developed by talent. They just happened to make the radio and become a hit to all the 10 to 14 year olds who live and die by the radio and hearing stupid-*** nursery rhymes.
I don't *drink* haterade... I'm laying my reasons out there for ya... there is reasons for the hate... people who *drink* haterade just hate to hate.SAN ANTONIO SPURSComment

Re: 50 finally has a good song again
I wasn't aware who 50 was until Get Rich or Die trying like many i suppose. After that album i did lisen to some of his older songs. How to rob, Places to Go, You not like me and etc. I mean for the main stream, his big break was Get Rich and it was a good album. Had some nice tracks. Heat, What up Gangsta, Many Men, If i can't.

Re: 50 finally has a good song again
However, it had absolutely NOTHING to do with the songs you listed.
Back when he was underground, the man could spit. "How to Rob" was one of my favorite tracks of all time. "Wanksta" was good. Hell, I even liked a couple of tracks off of [i]Get Rich or Die Tryin'[/b], but once 50 started coming out with solely songs that were all hip pop and bubbly just to sell records, I lost all respect. The guy sold out for money, which is fine, but I don't like listening to his bull**** anymore.Comment

In all honesty, I used to like 50 Cent. I really did.
However, it had absolutely NOTHING to do with the songs you listed.

Get RICH or DIE Tryin'.
50 came into the game not caring about where he stood all-time, but how much dough he could rank in. Now, he's getting paid every time someone plays his songs on YouTube and just got $400 million thanks to Coca-Cola.
How can you hate a guy that from the outset of his career all he wanted to do was be rich and successful (not to mention that he let people KNOW that)? And, now he's accomplishing that.Originally posted by EWRMETSMaybe the best post in OS's history. If you don't think Tony Romo is a Hall of Famer, you support al Qaeda.Comment

Re: 50 finally has a good song again
oh fo'real? I heard that Lil Wayne saved The Carter III for 2008 because an unplanned leak of the album...
so I just assumed that he was going to refresh the album with new tracks...
If it truly is a bunch of throw aways... good... except for "Something You Forgot"... that song is FiyaaahhSAN ANTONIO SPURSComment

Re: 50 finally has a good song again
Why not? Just because he is upfront about it, doesn't mean we have to buy into it. Regardless, nobody is "hating" on Fifty. From what I have read, all those who have expressed dislike for the man have had good reasons.

Re: 50 finally has a good song again
You're missing the point. People said he sold out. From the outset, all he ever wanted to do was make money. How in the world is that "selling out"?Originally posted by EWRMETSMaybe the best post in OS's history. If you don't think Tony Romo is a Hall of Famer, you support al Qaeda.Comment
