all u haters are dumb, 50 has been set out to do this his own life. Back in NY 50 was hot, he said he was goin to blow up and make millions, ja dissed him and 50 ended his career. 50 grew up on his own selling drugs to get by and eventually meet jam master jay and started rapping, ghetto qu'ran wasn't a snitch record as whoever that was put it, it was a queens anthem everyone was bumpin that *earmuffs* all day every day.

every one who said he "sold out," thats what money does to you and for everyone that says money doesnt change you well they juts didnt make enough

the song just talks about growing up in queens and he mentions names of the big drug dealers and tells tales of queens in the 80s so ja fool and those clowns claimed that he was "snitching" on them

Exactly. It's no different than Memory Lane by Nas.

It's not like the police didn't know who those were until 50 Cent released a song.

I've always wondered what internet stans thought happened upon the release; picturing like, 5 NY cops sitting in a room drinking coffee just wondering where all the crack is coming from. Then all of a sudden, a guy busts in with the new 50 Cent, they listen to the song, and incarcerate every known drug dealer in New York.

Okay, Flyboy, I said I understand that 50 is into making money, and that's fine, but that's the reason I don't like him... because of his bubble gum rap that he makes to do it. Everybody can do as they please, that's fine, but I don't like his music because of it.

I liked that Bad News song from one of the Friday soundtracks and I listened to his first album, but the novelty wore off and this dude is a joke. No talent hack. His only redeeming trait is he knows how to use the cream and the clear.

                    Hotness.

As for 50, no I'm not feeling anything he's been putting out recently.

50 does not story tell or have any witty punchlines or humor in his songs. I mean just listen to the song. It's straight up: generic trash. He claims "I run New York" with no evidence to back it up. He then spits out played out lines about ferraris and bank accounts. I found it a tedious boring song.

JiggidyJames if you're actually interested in listening to good rap music that does hearken back to Wu-Tang and Biggie I'd recommend turning off the radio and picking up Ghostface Killah's album Fishcale or Clipse's album He Hath No Fury or their mixtape We Got It 4 Cheap, Volume 2. All of those CDs have interesting stories, witty lyrics, overarcing themes and motifs to make the albums distinct and artistic and most importantly they still have banging beats.
I've been involved in the industry in some shape or form for 12 years now. I know what's out there and don't need advice. And The Clipse? Yawn.

Like I said, it's an extension of that style. The underlying theme is the same: money, drugs and being fly. I never said he did it better, or as good. This is where the people who were influenced by Wu, Biggie and even Jay-Z took the style.

His new album Curtis has yet to be released, but his singles from the album don't strike me as being good. I don't like I get money too much, i really dislike Amusement Park and Straight to the Bank.

It was almost as if hes completely lost it, then i heard Ayo Technology, now thats a good song. Its almost like a In Da Club but with a more retro sound. I don't like Justin Timberlake, but his verse is pretty damn good. Timberland is also in it, but his role is minor. The Song brings back that old feeling of listen to 50. His new album might not be Get Rich or die trying but at least he has one good single on it. Hopefully he can bring back the gritty style he had before. His songs are all about girls and money now.........had he truly lost his inner thug?

Im not sure if its allowed to post vidoes from youtube, but you guys really have to hear the song out if he refuse to go to mtv or bet. Its called Ayo Technology and i think its finally a song worthy of being on the bill charts.

50 actually raps really well in the video as well. Its not like his laid back raps, hes rapping quite fast and the lyrics aren't that bad. Bascially his style is good in the video
Thanks for givin the heads-up on this song... Ayo Technology... I've been listening to it alot the last few days..it's got a great beat/flow to it.. should be a hit.
