I like what the guy in that link said. The key to this movie, other then the characters is the whole patriotism angle. If they go overboard with it then there's going to be a backlash. In the end tho, I do expect some patriotism and that's fine by me just don't turn the movie into a 2 hour commercial for the US Armed Forces.

BTW I hope they don't stick an Al Qaeda connection to COBRA.

Guys, it's going to suck. As much as I'd like it to be awesome, it just doesn't seem plausible. The 80s cartoon/comic characters were borderline cheesy and with the exception of a few, it's going to be hard to take seriously. Quick Kick? Shipwreck? These are "elite" soldiers? I LOVED G.I.Joe, but it was very corny at times and that was okay.

I would prefer to see a campy movie based on M.A.S.K. Anybody remember that cartoon/toyline? Those guys used to walk out of their jobs every day to fight Venom (the most pointless group of villains ever) and drive around in a pack. It was cheese, but awesome cheese.

Snakeyes could be cool (stormshadow too), but they are definitely going to update cobra and make them some faceless terrorist faction.

I HOPE they can make it watchable, but I don't see how.

If there is a bunch of bullets flying and nobody dying, then I'll walk out in the first 30 mins....

I loved the original G.I.Joe movie it was nice, even at a cartoon, we saw duke heart get stabbed with a snake from Serpentor...and we saw Cobra Commander get turned in a python....

This movie should be for the adults, rated R and violent...
