    Ipod vs. Zune

I was out walking this morning and decided I'd finish up with a little jog. I was going along approaching my finish and my music stopped. I finished, took my Ipod out and tried to restart it. I got almost no button response at all. It's being recognized by my computer but it doesn't appear to be charging. This is already my 3rd Ipod and I was wondering if the Zune is more sturdy. I'm not tossing it around or anything but it's been crap for me so far.

Me and this Ipod have been like alot of gamers and their 360s. Plus, the 30 GB Zune is cheaper than the 30 GB Ipod.

    Any opinions?

I don't think you're supposed to run/jog with a hard drive based mp3 player as the constant shock does bad things to the spinning hard drive.

While this doesn't add much to the ipod v zune debate, I'd just recommend getting an extra flash memory based player if you're going to want music while running. You can get em for really cheap and treat em pretty rough as they have solid state memory.

    Also,

is a good site for reading about mp3 players if you think your going to buy another one.

    Hope this helps

Yeah, you shouldn't really be jogging around with a regular iPod. You should get a shuffle if you want to do that.

I went to wal-mart and purchased a zune. I came home and called apple because with all of wal-mart's new policies you can no longer just exchange like you were once able to do. The told me how to reset it by holding the menu+center buttons for about 6-10 seconds. It's working now but I'm still a little worried. I haven't opened the zune so I'm just going to go back and return it right now. I would have liked to keep it though.

I'm waiting to consider the Zune until the new version comes out. I heard that Zune wasn't really developed by Microsoft while the new version is being developed by Microsoft.

If I have more issues with this thing then I'll probably be going Zune. As far as the jogging goes, I'll give you that one. However, I have had a 4 GB Nano plugged into my head unit. I stopped at the plant where I interned to visit some of my old people there. I came back out to the car and got a "No Device" message on my head unit's display. I wish I had known about resetting before. I'd probably still be on Nano #1. Then again, 4 GB is was just not as much storage space as I thought.
