    www.pandora.com

I was going to post this in the 50/Kanye thread but thought it deserved it's own thread.

I heard about this site from my roommate, and now I can't get enough of it.

Basically, you type in an artist or a song that you like, and it will create a "radio station" for you based on people who have similar sounds. It's pretty cool and a good way to get into new music or expand your horizons (I heard my first Murs song on my "Lupe Fiasco Radio" station). The sound quality is great, and it's good if you're in a certain mood but don't know exactly what to throw on.

    My radio stations so far:

    112 Radio
    Cam'ron Radio
    Justin Timberlake Radio
    Lupe Fiasco Radio
    Nas Radio
    Royce Da 5'9" Radio

I mainly listen to Nas and Lupe. Nas is full of my kind of music: gritty, poetic east coast hip-hop. The Lupe station has alot of underground artists which is nice because I don't have to seek them out (right now Japhia Life is playing on Lupe and Common is playing on Nas).

Anyways, this is good for any music fan in general. Anyone who uses this, I'd love to hear impressions, anyone who hasn't used it, give it a try. It's addicting.

Haha, yeah, Pandora.com is good stuff. I used it a lot during my senior year in my video technology class.

Great site, but not very many songs. I've started to see too many repeats after a little while.

Needless to say, I've discovered my new favorite band (Q Public) thanks to Pandora.

Thing is, you don't get the exact song you're looking for, and you can't replay them either (that, or I haven't been using it correctly).

I think last.fm's radio is better.

No, you've been using it right.

It's supposed to be like radio. The only way that they can play the songs without getting sued is to make it so its like an actual radio station and you can't replay or search for songs.

Nice site. I've already found some new bands from my Cartel and Motion City Soundtrack stations.

The rap stations aren't working well for me though. When I searched The Game, all I got was Tupac, and when I searched T.I., all I got was Young Jeezy and Lil' Wayne.

Facebook has so many weird things now, I wouldn't be surprised if they have some sort of last.fm app.
