That's why he starts so high up. Less air resistance (lower drag coefficient --> greater terminal velocity)

I wish I played baseball up there. That would be awesome.

I remember that, and I absolutely loved using Harmon Killebrew in that Extreme Big League Challenge mode and playing inside that room.

Joe Kittinger claims he broke the speed of sound in 1960 when he jumped out of that balloon, basically exactly what this guy is trying to do.

Exactly, him going into the upper outer edge of the stratosphere will make "terminal velocity" a non factor in his initial descending.

He will be in the terminal velocity stage when his shoot opens at a mere 9800 ft.

LMAO at some of you thinking he is going to shoot open at the expected top speed of 1000mph.

His carbon fiber suit is also designed to keep his blood from boiling upon reaching those ludicrous speeds.

We need to throw some bets down on this one. I have a 85% chance on him not making it out alive.

I hope Darwin did his magic and this guy doesn't have any kids.

(Didn't read the article, so it may have said he does.)

Well, I thought it was like that he just couldn't accelerate anymore, not that he'd decelerate. I didn't know he'd actually slow down. Hmm.

So is that like... a 6.667:1 odds bet? He either lives or he dies lol you can't just throw out a percentage.

If I gut a chance I'll put some real numbers out there.

I'm going to laugh my *** off if he jumps and floats into space... Because, he is really high up there.
