Don Imus in the news again

Being sued by one of the basketball players

I hope he wins this. Like the article says did anyone outside the rutgers fans know the names of a single player on the team? I doubt she is getting heckled or harrased about it still, she is making her name known nation wide now.

Yeah this is a bit much. Maybe at the time, but to do it 6 months later is a bit of a reach. CBS will probably settle out of court, pay her off, and she'll be happy.

I agree with the lawsuit... Just think, when you or regular people on the street hear someone mention Rutgers womens basketball, you think about Imus and the Nappy Headed Ho comment... Which I think does ruin her good name and the others on the team...

SO now when she goes for a interview will the interviewer look at her resume and say Rutgers Womens Basketball player huh?? and in the back of his/her mind be thinking Nappy-Headed-Ho..

the timing of the suit seems odd to me.. It seems to go from a story of someone making horrible comments to now one of, well, greed. Especially after taking the high road, saying all the right things, & now to come out with this-- just bad timing..

yeah I don't see this sticking... plus if they prove it was satire... or anything like that, the Rutgers girl has no chance...

She'll get far more negative attention from this lawsuit than Imus' off the cuff dumb remarks. Just another person using the legal system as a lottery ticket.

why would it ruin HER image? It ruins Imus' image everytime people think about the whole ordeal. Just because Don Imus said they are nappy headed hoes doesn't mean I think they are...

this is a stupid petty lawsuit just like most lawsuits in America.

Sure. So if applying for a position, shouldn't this outweight some old, tired, haggard has-been radio commentator's comment that was dealt with six months ago (albeit poorly)?

If you're an employer and you put more weight into Imus' satirical, Chappelle-type label which took about 8 seconds versus the lifetime of work and sweat that went into making up your applicant's championship status, then you suck....as an employer.
