Really nice movie, I liked it a lot. I think it could easily be one of the best movies ever IF...

    **SPOILERS**

there was a definitive answer at the end of the movie. As it is, it leaves tons of questions unanswered and can be interpreted a thousand different ways depending on who's watching it. If everything in the movie was wrapped up and it all made sense after the final scene, I think the movie would be much, much better.

Christopher Nolan is pure genious. One of my favorite movies of all time, and actually it seems to be very unheard of. I've introduced this movie to so many of my friends, and they all loved it! Some were confused because I didn't want to explain any more than "this movie goes backwards", but I think they all eventually caught on. Haha the funniest thing is when they would always ask, "So how did that last scene end again?" And then eventually they go, "Ohhh, oh yeah."

The only downside to the DVD is there isn't a commentary. Does anyone know if there is a special edition DVD that might have this?

To an extent, I agree... but I love how Nolan really gets you thinking twice about trusting Teddy or not. I think the way that he did it was near perfect, but I truly believe that Teddy was indeed telling the truth, no matter how much he lied later in the movie.

I liked it when I saw it awhile ago but after watching it recently I didn't think that it was as good as I remembered it.

To an extent, I agree... but I love how Nolan really gets you thinking twice about trusting Lenny or not. I think the way that he did it was near perfect, but I truly believe that Lenny was indeed telling the truth, no matter how much he lied later in the movie.

Right, but even then, if you assume Teddy was telling the truth, then was Lenny's wife diabetic? And if she was, how was Lenny able to remember all the details of his own story so that he created the Semmy Jenkin's story? If Lenny killed his wife with insulin shots, it would have happened after he lost his memory.

And even small stuff, like when Lenny met with Jimmy (Natalie's boyfriend), Jimmy says something along the lines of "What are you doing here, where's Teddy?" like Jimmy already knows Lenny. There is absolutely no explanation for this throughout the whole movie.

I really liked the movie when I watched it. But when I sit back and think about it all, I can't help but feel ripped off for not ever finding out the truth. I would say Christopher Nolan is pure genius if everything tied together at the end, but as it is there's way too many plot holes for me to say that.

Meh, can't argue with those points.

Oh and I think I had a mental lapse and said Lenny instead of Teddy. I guess I'm just used to Teddy going, "LLLLENNY!" too much that I gave him that title heh.

Haha, I read that whole post as Teddy. I didn't even notice. They all sound so similar - Lenny, Teddy, Sammy, Jimmy, Natalie...

By the way, why is it that short-term memory loss is realistic in this movie and not in 50 First Dates? Is it because she only loses it when she sleeps? I was just wondering... I mean, neither can make new memories since their accidents, but remember everything prior.

Also, how is it that Lenny knows he has short-term memory loss? Wouldn't he not know since he was probably informed after the accident? Or did they tell him and then surgically remove that piece from his brain?

One of the movies didn't involve Adam Sandler and Rob Schnieder, I think that's all that needs to be said.

Very clever movie. Definitely not a mindless action packed popcorn flick. It really keeps your brain going throughout the entire movie. I thought it was very unique and entertaining. Also didn't hurt that it was a Canadian film...
