This is sort of a response to my original thread which never quite got off the ground:

    http://forums.operationsports.com/vB...d.php?t=194215

The main different between this thread and that thread is that I'm using an entirely different program. Freetar, in my opinion, was the only way, so I had to accept it. But there is a somewhat new and continually updated program called Feedback Chart Editor that really is successful in making even the toughest of charts. I wish I could explain all of the differences, but it really begins with the way that you can time the songs better just by changing the BPM of the fretboard, to a clap feature that makes a noise as the note passes by so you can time it with the note on the song, to a metronome feature that helps you determine whether the next note(s)/chord(s) really are lower or higher.

If anybody is considering downloading this, it's almost required that you ask questions on here to get any explanation on how the hell you begin.

I have yet to play these on a PS2 (and I think I'm far away from ever doing that), but for me, it's just about the thrill of making songs. For the first time yesterday, I actually saw my work be put on YouTube by somebody else, and my mouth dropped. Today, my jaw hit the floor when I saw my version of Panama. I mean I remember sending a few of my songs to Neversoft and they actually scheduled an interview for me. Unfortunately, school came in the way with the times they wanted. But it was then that I really thought I had potential to do something like this for a living. Granted, some of my song choices are by personal preference and would never go into a GH game, but that's why I create them instead of wait for them.

Above are my videos so far, and there will be more to come in the near future (meaning maybe today). Within the next few months I'll probably be making more songs, but school starts next Monday for me so at the same time maybe not.

If not for creating Guitar Hero songs, I hope people can leave a few comments on my videos and let me know what they think of the charts that I made anyway.

    Thanks!

Haha well technically, you can! It does take time, though. As you see above, I started much earlier this year. My very first rendition of a song was what you would call "crap". To me, it looked beautiful in the past.

As a matter of fact, you should have seen my first release of Panama. This is like a 10x upgrade.

The guy that made the Panama video for me is supposed to complete my list (and also do another video of One Last Breath for me), and said I should expect the videos by today. So you may see a major update with like 10 videos later. Hopefully you give them looks, even if you don't like the songs (Nothin But A Good Time, however, is pretty much the same thing you'll see from GHE: RT80s... but I had to make a few changes to match the album version of the song).

I'm assuming I received a compliment however, and for that I thank you.

That song will actually be on GH3. I couldn't tell if you were saying it in the way that you want it to be in the game, or you want to see what the chart is going to look like because you already know that it's in the game.

Thanks, guys. Again, expect other videos later today of those other songs on that list.

Sorry, lol... I want to see this in GH3 but I doubt it could be pulled off. The solo's are way to hard to perform on the GH3 Guitar. Well unless you me jk

I must say...those are fricken awesome.

I'm definitely considering messing around with it some...I downloaded the program you linked...but as you said....it is incredibly confusing as to how to start.

Ok, I've been messing around with it some...and just have a quick question. When you have the metronome going....what does the really high pitched beat mean?

Though I don't want to advertise, it's best if you visit the ScoreHero "software" sub-forum and there is something that completely breaks down how to do these songs.

To be honest, I never use the metronome, and I really don't know how to use it actually haha.

You should post or PM me a Savefile of your chart that you're working on so far if you'd like so I can give advice on what you've done so far. Have you used the BPM analyzer to set the BPM? That will make your chart-noting a lot easier.

Just write back and fill in my blanks.

The board won't let me attach the chart because it is not one of the valid file types....though I did use PowerTabs to get a BPM guess.

I'm fooling around with Diary of Jane by Breaking Benjamin since it is my favorite song... there are a couple hacks of it floating around on the net that i've looked at.

Definitely a pretty fun thing to play around with.
