    Rage Against the Machine

Well, last night I witnessed the craziest concert I've been to. Rage Against the Machine played Alpine Valley up in Wisconsin yesterday, and it was amazing! Two to three consecutive days of rain made the place an absolute mess, and it was packed to the brim.

Anyone else go last night? Anyone else ever seen these guys? They sure did put on a good show, and regardless of political affliations, they know how to rock.

"Killing in the Name" sung by 60-70,000 people, well, it simply cannot be explained.

Did they get back together or just back together for a few concerts? I thought Zack De La Rocha refused to get back together with the band. This was a while ago though so a lot might have changed as I haven't really paid attention.

I used to listen to them all the time in high school and college.

They are currently back together to just play a few concerts as far as I know. Although it was probably just showmanship, they did put their arms around each other and take a bow together at the end. I hope they stay together and start recording again, but thats just wishful thinking.

*Last night* Projekt Revolution - BOSTON, was the best.

        Linkin Park rocked the house.

I'm hoping that they are back for more than a concert tour.

I doubt it will be as good as their other albums.

Ahhh, thanks. Hopefully they do stay together and start recording again. I still enjoy listening to their old stuff every now and then.

yeah, they really missed the Bush wave they would have rode if they hadn't broke up.

Its not really that, though, if they do decide to rally against Bush I can't imagine them saying something radically different from what people have been saying for the past 4-6 years. Their novelty was starting to get tired and trite by the third album (though the covers album was pretty good).

but they still would have been able to sell tons of albums to MTV kiddies. Now, any bush bashing is old. Even that lil bush show on comedy central seems more sad than funny.

As a conservative Republican RATM is still one of my favorite bands. I agree they'd have thrived pretty nicely in the last few years. One issue though that has been pointed out about RATM, that I have noticed as well, is that they do seem to Rage quite well against the machine but really just seem to offer anger at how things are instead of any solutions or alternatives. But then I guess it is just rock music and not a political group. I just noticed that criticism has been leveled at RATM before and until I read it, I never really thought much about it, but it's quite true.

Anyways, I really wish they'd make a new studio album but not like that last one they did where Del La Roach tried to sing instead of rap, god that was awful.

The only funny part about Lil' Bush is the Lil' Cheney character....I find him hilarious.

                              Guys,

Let's leave politics out of this conversation, please.

As for Rage, I've seen them live twice. Once at Lollapalooza 96 in Rockingham, NC, and once in Charlotte along with Wu-Tang Clan.

This band is absolutely AMAZING live! I doubt anything has changed in the 10 years since I saw them last. They know how to get the crowd going, the mosh pits were always f'ing insane, and you can just feel an adrenaline rush when listening to them.

I used to listen to their original album on my Walkman before every football game I played in high school, to get my blood pumping. I hope to God they tour somewhere near me. I'd love to go see them again.
