I would take off resident evil and put double dragon in there. I also saw a trailer for Dead or Alive, and just by watching the trailer that bumps off Doom and into the top 5.

How the heck did Alone in the Dark not make it? Thats by far the worst movie i have ever seen. And i've seen some pretty bad movies (Pootie Tang) However this movie just takes the cake. The fact that its not on this list is absurd. However i do agree with Resident Evil Apocalypse, a horrible movie and an even worst video game movie.
My list goes
1)Alone in the Dark
2)Resident Evil Apocalpyse
3)Street Fighter
4)Blood Rayne
5)Double Dragon
So in reverse we can say that Silent Hill might have been one of the best - though not exactly a great movie.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace
"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer
Super Mario Bros. - i remember seeing this in the theaters and just scratching my head. It's even worse in retrospect. Bob Hoskins as Mario? John Leguizamo as Luigi?!
Mortal Kombat Annihilation - The first one was really what it needed to be, cheesey but entertaining for fans of the game (with the exception of a lack of Scorpion vs Sub-Zero duel). The sequel was just beyond horrible. How were the makers of this movie able to release it with that CG sequence at the end?
Street Fighter - Bad enough that I've never been able to sit through the whole thing to this day.
Double Dragon - i actually don't remember much about it, other than I didn't like it.
I can't even settle on a fifth, there are too many bad ones (Blood Rayne, Alone in the Dark, etc...). I think it would be more challenging to come up with a top 5 best videogame movies, or even just a less ambitious top 3.
Granted, I was never a fan of the games, either...but I hated that movie with a passion.
Yea? Well, ok. I'm not usually a fan of those type of horror films but I thought it was done pretty well considering it was a video game turned movie.
Again, I won't say it was a great movie. Probably not even a good one. But for what it was I thought it did a decent job.
I can't think of many video game turned movies that might have been as decent as this one.
