Wow, funny that this thread pops up, my friends were just talking about the show.. which I've never heard of.

So how does this compare to The Office [my favorite show].. obviously they are probably slightly different genres, but overall hilarity, what's funnier? I'm really thinking about buying seasons 1 and 2 since it's $28.

I read that it has elements of Seinfeld.. a show I absolutely despise. Ironic though, since one of my favorite shows is Curb Your Enthusiasm.

I LOVE this show!

Other shows that I really like that are currently on the air are The Office, Scrubs, Entourage, Heroes, Rescue Me, How I met Your Mother, and One Tree Hill (I don't know if that helps at all, lol).

Among those listed I think that Sunny is the funniest of them all. It's straight crazy. I think the Seinfeld comparisons come from the fact that "the gang" consists of three guys and one girl, and all of the characters are extremely mean, vein, greedy, and egotistical. Seinfeld had this, but it was alot more subtle. In Sunny, the characters make it very obvious that you're cool as long as you can help them in some way, and they will cut anyone (including one another) to get ahead. Many episodes in the second season are like a hilarious game of chess.

I'd suggest downloading a couple episodes to see what you think. That's what I did per the advice of my roommate and now I'm hooked.

You should love it, ex. Not funnier than The Office, but it's pretty close.

I'm an Office fan, but I give the close nod to "Always Sunny". Just saw Dennis and Dee Go on Welfare and you can see why it's Seinfield On Steroids.

Yeah, that episode and both The Gang Gets Racist & Charlie Gets Molested are my three favorite episodes, however, I still prefer The Office.

My three favorites too, so they are obviously standout episodes. I've only got the Season 2 finale, Dennis And Dee Get A New Dad left to see on the DVDs. Reno 911 didn't really grab me.

LMAO. When Dennis picked the team... oh GOD. I died.

My favorite part of that episode was when Dee showed up in the yellow pants suit, trying to dress like a women's college basketball coach. I was ROTFL.
Just saw the 2nd season finale and last aired show, Dennis And Dee Get A New Dad. I was just waiting for Dee and Dennis to get tired of their new, good dad(played by 7th Heaven's Stephen Collins).

ok, so I just saw this show for the first time ever tonight. It was hilarious! It really reminded me of Seinfeld (that's a great thing) I'll definitely be catching more episodes when they come out.

I thought I was going to have to revive this thread because I didnt think there were to many Always Sunny fans...Best show on TV, I really hope they get more coverage and alot more people check this show out...They wont be disappointed
