    Verizon's LG VX8300

Really wanted the chocolate phone at the time, but this one has been solid. Good reception, nice features, tough as nails.

Wife picked up my Mogul at the Sprint store today... After playing with it for a couple of hours, I am of the opinion that I will need a degree from M.I.T. to fully understand this phone.

What do you need to know Tarheel...lol

Its not as bad as you think it is. When you get used to the OS you'll love it.

I can help you with what you want to know though.

Agreed. I picked up my Sprint Touch today, and feel a bit overwhelmed.

So I paid outta my Verizon contract and moved over to Sprint due to cheaper texting and I get 12% off through my work. So I got an LG Rumour which is the only non-smartphone through Sprint to sport a full QWERTY keyboard.

How do you like it so far? I have been looking at that phone for awhile.

I have an iPhone for personal use and some POS Nextel for work. I look really, really cool with my Zach Morris Nextel phone, though!

                EVERYTHING!!!!! LOL

Nah, I'm not that bad... I went to sleep at like 1 in the morning after playing with it; you'd have thought I had just gotten the latest version of NCAA Football or something. I'd also been going to sites like ppcgeeks and freewareppc.com to see what kind of stuff I can download on it. I already downloaded the mobile live365.com player, which is really sweet. I have a free month of the data plan, so I'm not sure how I'll work around that after the month is up. With wi-fi and EVDO, I don't really need it (a data plan), right?

I am in love with it. It looks great and I love the full keyboard for texting its awesome and I could not go back to the normal keypad. One concern I read was the screen wasn't very bright but I think its fine. Another thing I read was when u go to use the keyboard you have to the use the circular arrow thingy to navigate and I thought it would be uncomfortable but its not bad at all once you get used to it.

Not really, but its up to you.

For the most part, just let me know specifics and I can help. If you want to install AIM on there, ask Flyboy for the link

You don't realize it yet but that phone is gold! The keyboard when you get used to it will be very handy, even the onscreen one, because you can transcribe or just tap the letters with your stylus and it saves your most frequently used words.

Lets see, you can download your songs into Windows Media player on there, and use them for ringtones. You can do much more but you'll have to learn how to tinker with the files though which I wouldn't recommend for a new user.

Hey BK...lol you'll be fine man, give it two weeks.

Re: What Cell Phone does everyone own?

for those who are picking up the touch and are disapointed in the fact theres no qwerty keyboard or actual physical keyboard, don't sweat it.

it has a transcriber on it thats damn near perfect, i've got sh!tty writing and it will almost ALWAYS pick up what i'm trying to write. only things are like my M's and N's will get messed up or like J's and Y's. i thought i'd hate the on screen keyboard, but i'm telling ya the ability to just write what i want is leaps and bounds over any physical keyboard.

the touch is EASILY the best smart phone i've ever had.

You can dowload other keyboards too

I've had mine a month or so, Acid... Still figuring it out. Neat toy, though, for real. My wife is uber-jealous of me when she tries to text from her flip phone.

Yeah, it looks like a pretty badass phone. It'll take me awhile to get used to it, I'm so used to flip-phones, sending text messages should be really easy now with a QWERTY keyboard.

I can't wait for it to arrive.
