    Tell Me You Love Me

    whooaa......wasn't ready for this. Caught the premiere last night....about as close to straight-up porn as HBO can get. Sure it's centered around relationships but man...some of the sex scenes were a trip to say the least. Anybody else catch it? If there's already a topic about this then I apologize.

      I heard about the show on my commute to work but wasn't entirely sure what the show was about. What's the premise?

              When I saw sonya wagner (penny from Lost for those keeping score) giving a dude a hand job (where you could see the guy's penis mind you) and then examining the sperm on her hand, I decided I had seen quite enough, thanks.

              Definitely pushing the envelope, to say the least.

                                          Yep, however the fact that this show straddles the line between regular cable sex and straight up XXX well...it's groundbreaking. HBO is obviously trying to keep its name on peoples lips.

                                          I heard about this since earlier this summer as I frequent um some adult news sites "cough"

                                          (oh and before you comment, using the word "straddling" was an intentional double entendre on my part)

                                              Sure the show isn't that great, but why is it such a big deal? It's a pay station on top of pay cable. I don't see why HBO or Skinemax can't air full porn if they want. I get sick of the fringe right groups that oppose this stuff and solely want more regulation on everything.

                                                  I think it has to do with the fact that HBO and Cinemax are more or less basic cable or at least the lowest tier of specialized cable packs. I mean what if your kid stumbled onto that stuff?

                                                      Passwords? You can lock the channels too...not to mention that all of the stuff is on pretty late.

                                                      I also fail to see how HBO, etc. are "more or less basic cable". You still pay $15+ a month for EACH channel on top of the regular cable bill.

                                                          Well I tried to rationalize. Personally I think we in North America need to loosen up like our neighbours in Europe where you see nudity on basic terestrial TV, even in primetime without any complaint.
