I'll be glad when it comes on because I'm already sick of all the commercials. -

I think the concept is interesting and will give the show a shot. I just wonder how staged or contrived some of the situations will be.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

I agree....I fully expect the show to be completely dumb and not worth watching, but it's worth a one episode gamble (especially when I can record and fast forward).Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

CRITICS ACCUSE REALITY SHOW OF SKIRTING CHILD LABOR LAWS
The series - which in its promos is touted as being about "40 kids, one town, no adults" - has found itself at the center of a fiery maelstrom fueled by charges that the production company involved may have violated the spirit, if not the letter, of child labor laws. At least one mother whose 12-year-old daughter was part of the show has filed a complaint with authorities because of burns the child suffered.
Reports have come out about kids (the "Kid Nation" cast members were between ages 8 and 15) "working" 16 or 17 hours a day and state inspectors being barred from the set. The New Mexico state attorney general's office has launched a belated investigation.
So far, CBS has refused to concede anything and says "Kid Nation" will debut as scheduled Sept. 19. In a recent statement, it said that "these kids were in good hands and under good care. . . . We will therefore not accept irresponsible allegations or any attempts to misrepresent and exaggerate events, or spread false claims about what happened during the
filming."

Re: Kid Nation (CBS) 9/19/2007 8 ET/PT
Honestly, I don't think I'll watch it on a the nights it comes out but if it comes on DVD later on, I'll probably consider picking it up. It's a good concept. I think it's a great one at that. Wish it was a little more diverse but it's pretty catching to me. Can't wait to see what you guys think of it that are watching it.Comment

Leave this off out of OS. It has no place here and could cause an otherwise fine thread to be locked.
This show should be interesting. I just wish I didn't have the fealing that everything will be scripted. I will probably record it if I can get Vista to stop trying to search for a cable signal instead of a digital antenna signalComment
