Well I'm a "true original fan", and I still love the show.

The OJ episode was absolutely hilarious.

Maybe some of us "true original fans" have just been able to grow along with the show and its humor.

Reminds me of the "baseball purists". Blech, no thanks.

LOL, I remember for the longest time one of the biggest complaints about Family Guy was that there wasn't any character development. Now people are pissed when it actually happens!!

I dont know how you can watch episodes from season one and two and then watch these with show tunes. There will still be good episodes, but i see what the writers think of the people watching the show now. they make you watch 3 minute shots of conway twit and sing stupid irrelevent songs(the songs used to be releveant when it happened.) and laugh on the way to the bank. They are no longer making a show to entertain us, they are being entertained off the stuff they can put in the show and still get viewers.

And for the record go back and look.... i said SOME of the true fans. Just like you said SOME of you might like it. I was happy to see people who know the show showing their disgust as well. if i would have said ALL then i would see then need to say that. Other wise you dont fit in my original true fan catigory. Your an original fan who still loves the show and im an original fan who doesnt want to give up on the show but is disgusted. What ever you feel its your opinion and i really dont care. Why felt the need to quote me to throw in a baseball purist line is beyond me. But then, you still love the show.....

Reminds me of madden diehards.

Heh, all this complaining over the 420 episode? That was one of the better ones of the season by far... much better than the OJ episode, which was a bunch of cobbled-together jokes and set pieces from other episodes that never aired. At least this one had a coherent plot (though the Quagmire cat tie-in was spurious at best), no real "manatee" jokes, and no Conway Twitty.

And the musical number in that one was relevant to the episode -- it wasn't Conway Twitty style. They got an Emmy for doing the big musical production in the "Brian Wallows and Peter's Swallows" episode -- it's a big part of the show and always has been... Seth is a junkie for goofy Broadway chorus lines.

Wow... "Madden diehards?" lol ok?

I don't like the "show tunes" as much as anyone. That real life clip of some guy in the OJ episode for 6 minutes was TERRIBLE... but there are still plenty of laughs to be had with the show as it currently airs.

I guess...

I hate musicals as much as the next guy, but anything that is written and produced specifically for the show tops recycled Hee Haw footage in my mind. Conway Twitty is the new Vaudeville Guy for this show... "let's fill 3 minutes with this crap". The musical number last night was directly related to the episode and didn't go on for way too long like Shaboopy and others did (how you like that and not the other musical numbers is beyond me).

No i didnt see the 420 episode. And thats what im saying with the musical numbers. Im not hating on them, as long as they are relevant like the used to be.

We he said my quote reminded him of baseball purists and his reminded me of madden diehards who blindly defend a game that has gone down hill bad. They love it and have for years so it cant be getting worse. Same concept. And the part i bolded i agree with. The problem is, this isnt the family guy i first started to love. Thats why im taking a step back and not just loving it blindly. Not to mention i see to many politcal references going one direction. That tells me something about the show.

However that thing is spelled, that is by far the worst number of them all and can probably never be topped.

I don't mind the ones they do with Stewie and Brian when they do their trips to another country, or that time with Brian and that elderly woman (or Peter and Meg in New York), but a lot of these ones are weird in the sense that they just add in a bunch of other people from absolutely nowhere that spontaneously break out into song as well.

Simply, if it reminds me of High School Musical in any way, shape, or form... I probably don't like it.

Don't know how it happened but the last two or three episodes have been pretty funny. Not on par with their old stuff but way better than the recent stuff.

The finale tonight is pretty much crossing the last line to be crossed with the family stuff LOL but SMH. It's funny but it's just in bad taste like the unacceptable type bad taste.

yea I enjoyed the last few weeks for the first time in a while.

OT- I also enjoyed the Simpsons for the last couple weeks as well (all things being relative)
