    Heartbreak kid

Sorry if there is a thread on this already. I did only a brief scan.

Going to see this with the girl and a few friends tonight. Looks pretty funny. Hopefully its as good or better than 'theres something about mary.'

I had no clue this was a remake until my dad told me about it. Hopefully it's good... I enjoyed Meet the Fockers so maybe I'll like this one.

It looks like every other Ben Stiller comedy. I'll pass.

          Yeah.

He plays the same character in every movie.

I didn't know it was a remake either but considering the source material (Neil Simon) then I doubt anyone can muck it up. Unfortunately as others have said this really does look like "just another Ben Stiller movie".

I gave my pre-screening ticket to my friend who saw it Wednesday, and he said that it was "really funny, and quite on the inappropriate side." I think that just means... if you're a kid, don't see it with your parents if you don't want that uncomfortable feeling.

We'll see how it is, though.

Pretty much exactly what it was.

It wasnt the best movie, but I liked it and didnt find it as a waste of money or anything.

maybe... just maybe... he's not a good actor?

                  Yeahhh... that's probably it.

Well it is a Farrelly Brothers movie. I didn't even know that until I checked it out on imdb.com. May check it out, may not.

Same here. I liked the chemistry between him and the girl with the family, but thought that some of the raunchiness was unnecessary. As far as Ben not being a good actor I don't think DeNiro has anything to worry about, but he's box office gold and I doubt Ben takes himself that seriously-that's part of his appeal.

You can't say that based on the same things he does all the time. Has he ever took a role that's somewhat different where you can legit say that he sucks as an actor?

Actually he was pretty good in Flirting With Disaster. That's the only movie I can think of where it isn't completely "Ben Stiller formula".

I mean if the commercials could of told you that and its also rated R. Definietly not a movie you should see with your parents. I even found Meet The Fockers not a movie you should see with your parents while Meet the Parents was acceptable.

This movie looks good though, i'll see it eventually.

I mean I could see Wedding Crashers with my dad (my mom doesn't really like any R comedies), and Knocked Up is probably okay (though he'd wonder why I'd want to watch it)... but I don't know how this compares.

Pubic Hair displays and urinating on a injured back if that helps. Pretty rough sex scenes too. Wedding Crashers was mild by comparison.
