That Rome impression is epic. Rack 'im!

As for his new show, yeah I'm sick of the ads too, though I might still give it a look.

His impression is spot on..."Nati beats 'Sota" haha.

However, I AM SO F'ING SICK OF HIS TV SPOTS. Whoever the marketing genius that thought of bombarding people with constant commericials needs to be shot.

I'll be giving this show a shot. The guy is obviously very talented but I don't think there's enough material for a TV series.

Oh and yes they're killing the show's hype by over hyping it.

i would have to agree with this. He wasn't even using dialogue that Madden would use. He was just spitting jibberish (well, that may or may not be Madden also) with Madden's voice...

            this show looks stupid.

After I started typing it, I started blanking, guess I have to watch more CNN (it seems they run that ad twice every commercial break).

Beauty of it is, without all these commercials we wouldn't even be talking about this show now would we? The beauty of marketing at the perfect time.

Guaranteed they'll get ratings, even for the few weeks at the very least, based on these commercials.

And if you haven't seen his impersations, you need to. They are funny as hell. He does a great George Bush, John Madden, Jim Rome, etc.

He even does a great Seinfeld cast (minus Elaine). He nails Newman and Costanza to a tee.

That Seinfeld and Jim Rome weren't bad.

But, I really can't watch sketch comedy like this when I know it's going to be limited because it's on TBS.

I never liked him on Mad TV so I don't think I will for 30 minutes every week.

I dunno, TBS isn't what it used to be. That station has made almost a total 180 degree turn in terms of programming since the last corporate shakeup at Time Warner. They've been airing movies and shows that would be unheard of when Ted was running the show.

I agree that it'll be somewhat limited but it's not going to limited to the point of making the show weak.

Must be a trend....they're doing this with movie trailers too. Too early, too often and TMV (too many visualizations). My guess is some marketing genius who makes 10x what I do "studied" this and started the trend.

I am starting to wonder if this is going to fly for the long term. Frank seems to shine when he comes out in spots and bits, not for an entire 30/60 minutes.

If that's the case then perhaps it'll be a good show.

I still don't like him as a comedian, though. Not a huge fan of comedians that seem to only do impressions.
