    A song about San Francisco

A song about San Francisco - BUT it's in Hebrew...I know u don't understand the lyrics but it's one of my favorite songs. The singer, Eric Einstein recorded it in the 70's. It's about the city of San Francisco - which is where he is suppose to be at...He's amazed by the beauty of SF...but he misses back to Israel - and still can't leave SF because he's attached to it...
"Youshev be-San Fransico Al Ha-Maim" = Sitting in San Francisco by the water...
If u listen carfully you'll hear him talking about Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Dr. J.
Again, I know u don't undertand the lyrics but it's a great song with a great melody. He's one of the biggest singers of all time in Israel and used to act in some movies in the 60's-70's too.
Yep, the synch between the visual and the sound is a bit off...

Sounds like he mentions Marin too (other side of the Golden Gate bridge) cool. Nice song, very mellow, made me feel relaxed and happy. "I left my heart in San Francisco" is getting old after every Giants game at AT&T park, maybe they can mix this one in once in while! My next-door neighbor is from Israel I'll share this with him...thanks.

Yep, the song is really relaxed. Until the last verse u don't really know that he actually misses back home. Until the last few years I've never heard it to the ens so I've never know that was the issue! Funny, I know, so I rediscovered the song a while ago (The song is about 30 yeras old). But at the very end he sings again about the beauty of SF. If any1 wants I'll be happy to translate some verses...
BTW I LOVE Tony Bennett!!! He's huge!!! I was raised on the 50-60's American music. Even today it's my favorit music. Elvis is like a god to me! I would give A LOT of money to be in his concert...Too late I guess...
Actually there's a radio station here that play only israeli songs. I can't listen to it because after a few songs I just NEED some songs in English! It's a must for me. 95% of my CD's are American or British.
