DTV -- do I have any recourse?

Last Aug. I took advantage of the sign-up deal with the NFL package. I also had the digital recorder installed as well. Never along the way did the salesman (telephone) indicate that this was for 2 years. Fortunately 6 months ago I found an option on an automated operator to suspend service for 6 months, but now I'm faced with reconnecting them again. Do I have any recourse or is this virtual online contract stuff legit? I just don't want the service and awaiting to return the equipment to them.

You can call them and talk to them, but you are under contract. You can cancel, but you have to pay the cancel fee and the remaining amount on your contract.

I think the way they disclose the full details of their contract SUCKS.

yeah, I think they had to change the contract based on the fact that you don't see it until after you signup
