    Logitech MX 5000 Laser

Does anyone have this keyboard/mouse? I havent heard too much about it, but apparently its very good--if one goes by price.

Right now I have a Logitech G15 (gaming keyboard) right now, and I just dont like it.

If you own it, what do you like best about it?

I had it. It worked very well until it all of sudden shut down and wouldn't connect to the computer anymore. That was after having it for over a year though so it wasn't bad. There wasn't anything I liked best, it was just a keyboard and mouse, but it was nice.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

You liked it eh? Ya, my buddy has it. He really liked it too and so do I, but the reviews havent been too great--averaging 6.-something. Also, a 150$ mouse/keyboard only lasted one year--and you're not mad? Yikes!

It's about 200$ in Canada but I found it for 59.99, just like my buddy did, and I was thinking about it cause of the bluetooth--but, unfortunately, it doesnt support Mac, and I'm buying a macbook pro in January when I leave for Aussie--thus, not good.

I have the mouse... it's wonderful.

The design fits the hand perfectly. There are tons of buttons.

Nothing I can really complain about. It's sweet.

I've had the 3000 for about a year and a half. Pretty happy with it, other than the keyboard wrist rest is a little flimsy.

            Re: Logitech MX 5000 Laser

I have occasional problems connecting either the mouse or the keyboard, but I think some of that was due to not having set it up correctly to begin with and possibly interference from another Bluetooth transmitter that I had hooked up before I got the keyboard/mouse combo.

But yeah, I absolutely love it because I have my computer hooked up to my TV and use it from my couch. The mouse in particular is awesome, because you can use it on any surface and it works perfectly. I normally use it on my leather couch cushion or my leg and it never skips around or messes up. Also, the touch-sensitive media/volume/zoom controls and the LCD displaying what song is playing is GREAT for my setup because I also run my music collection off my computer and would have to switch inputs, etc. to change tracks without it.

So yeah, assuming it doesn't crap out on me like is apparently happening with a lot of people, I love it and would definitely recommend it, especially if you have a setup similar to mine where you're using your PC from a couch. The connection issues are frustrating (I had a real hard time about a week ago but eventually got it working again), but as long as I can eventually get it running again, I don't mind too much. The mouse docking station is great as well, becasue the keyboard takes 4 batteries and it's nice not having to worry about the mouse.

I'm not mad because I think it was because of something that I did awhile ago. The computer was moved and I accidentely deleted all the bluetooth stuff off of the computer. The keyboard and mouse still worked but it sometimes disconnected and finally it just wouldn't connect.

I've had it for a little while, I like the mouse so much that I am using it with games on my laptop. I bought it refurbished at geeks.com VERY cheap (like $40 or something like that). I like it.
