Guitar Amplifiers
What kind of amplifier do you think I should get. I'm a beginner and wish to get a new amp because my old one blew out.My latest project - Madden 12 http://www.operationsports.com/forum...post2043231648Tags: None -
Re: Guitar Amplifiers
Depends on what style you play.
Roland Microcube
Vox Valvetronix
Roland Cube 20x+
Epiphone Valve Jr.
Peavey Valveking Royal 8
Tell us your style, and what your budget is. -
Re: Guitar Amplifiers
I was going to suggest Gallien Krueger, but I think they no longer make guitar amps. I remember my old guitarist used to have a GK and the nice stereo sound he used to get out of it, and he further enhanced it by plugging a Rockman to the amp. GK makes nice bass amps also, cuz I have their 800RB.
Dude, get a Marshall!!! Since you're just starting out, a nice sound will definitely make your practices more enjoyable.Comment

Re: Guitar Amplifiers
Eek... Ok... Big range of sounds there.
Vox Valvetronix AD30VT suits you really good.
as does the...
Roland Cube 30x
As a beginner getting a good practice amp, I wouldn't suggest that Peavey as you'd need to get some pedals.Comment

Re: Guitar Amplifiers
1. I was also looking at the Vox DA5 too is that one any good?
2. How do you get effects pedals set up (I don't plan on getting any soon but would like to know for future refrence?
3. Based on what I stated earlier what type of guitar do you suggest I get in the future?
Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Last edited by RAZRr1275; 10-16-2007, 06:45 PM.My latest project - Madden 12 http://www.operationsports.com/forum...post2043231648Comment

Re: Guitar Amplifiers
1) The DA5 is the smaller version of the AD series... Get the AD30VT.. It has a power attenuator on the back so you can get all the tone and drive you need at lower volumes. Not to mention it has 3-band EQ instead of a tone knob.
2) You don't get them set up. You get pedals and patch cables to string them together. =)
3) I'd suggest you get a nice humbucking guitar. Les Paul, PRS, Fat Strat...Comment

Re: Guitar Amplifiers
Can you guys give a specific guitar that would be good for a nice clean sound for shredding and other solos.
thanks in advance.My latest project - Madden 12 http://www.operationsports.com/forum...post2043231648Comment

Re: Guitar Amplifiers
Well if you want shredding, which you are light-years away from if you're new to guitar... Get an Ibanez. Your first guitar shouldn't be a high cost one, as you need to figure out if you'll stick to it.Comment
