    best basketball rap ever

    <hr style="color: rgb(238, 238, 238);" size="1"> <!-- / icon and title --> <!-- message --> first verse to basketball song...

on the court already, skills is not questionable
    basketballs greatest, long time professional
poise is unbreakable, shots are all makable
    fundamentals and overall game irreplaceable
deadly in every sense, copied by no man
only way the bucket ain't going in is goal tend
crossover to spin, tell me if you want more
when you can't find me put 2 on the scoreboard
style is all signature, mid-range perimeter
catch you from the post aggressive and strong finisher
game is well-rounded, want a winner you found it
teams have got me scouted, better than me i doubt it
passing mechanics locked from lob to chest
handles are number 1 no more no less
give me a test, turn legends and greats to hot mess
f the rest, I love this game cause I'm the best

    second verse defense...

    i play d aggressively, call foul i don't care
they don't call me a defender, they call me a nightmare
im supreme, ill block your shot in your dreams
get so much air doing it to you'll be looking for trampolines
does it sting? the limitless amount of weapons i bring
i can anticipate your movements like your strapped to a string
know what i mean? im unstoppable even if they gave you a 1000 hints
its apparent, you couldn't even get through me made transparent
former champions just put ya belt down, i don't lock down i meltdown
fans will get so pissed they'll jump on the court and rip the net down
ill take on all positions, guards centers and forwards
every time they dribble the ball i get me a turnover
taste the shoulder, no drop steps i got that on lock
ill drop your *** on the floor then run away with the rock
quit the commotion, from post up they'll be no moses and the ocean
the only way you moving me *****, is with emotions

any ideas on the 3rd verse

That video is terrible. I do like the song. It is perfect for basketball, I actually used it in 8th grade for a project on basketball. (Sweet school I know)

Why in the hell are martial arts being done on the court?
Why are the rims 6 ft?

Lemme guess (and I swear I never clicked on the embedded link).

Is it the "Basketball is my favorite sport, I like the way the dribble up and down the court" song from way back in the day?

It's Kurtis Blow, that's all I should really have to say, he's a legend.

Videos and what not were not the same back in the day. Obviously Rapper's Delight is a terrible video and the "up jump the boogey to the bang bang boogey..." would probably not be "cool" today, but then it was cutting edge.

I agree the video is stupid and they knew the little rims with the players was kinda silly, but it's a classic and I LOVE IT! Nobody had ever rapped about basketball at that time, it was a very different concept at the time.

what were you listening to? that video was just horrible the lyrical content made no sense and it could be passed off as a song on the barney show.
