I honestly don't know how he puts up with it.

Hell, he probably has the means to sue ESPN for subjecting him to harrassment in the workplace. That is if it isn't all just a ruse between Clayton and the other guys he talks to(usually Sean Salisbury).

They are staged, I heard it on Mike and Mike in the morning one day on ESPN radio.

Too bad because I was wanting to reach through my TV at times and choke the sh!t out of Salisbury.

Sean Salisbury briefly disappeared from the ESPN airwaves earlier this year. Pro Football Talk noted that Salisbury had been suspended (scroll way down), but the Worldwide Leader gave no reasons for his absence, in fact, they never mentioned it at all. And on December 27th in a column at CBS SportsLine, Mike Freeman gives a "media entry" for his "All-Selfish" team:

The NFL analyst who shall not be named that took a picture of his penis with a cell phone camera and has shown it to numerous, uncomfortable women, then was suspended by his network for it. Absolute true story. Please make sure to clean off the mirror when you are done with it.
And The Big Lead learned this morning that the analyst in question was ESPN's Sean Salisbury.

I've always thought Joe Montana was an android, but that's another story...

I want to catch E:60 sometime though, I like Jeremy Schapp and hope he can follow in his father's footsteps. I used to enjoy "Sports Reporters" back when **** Schapp hosted it, but after he died it became a "Albom, Ryan, Lupica reacharound" show. Hopefully this show lets these people be real reporters and less entertainers.

I re watched it again just about an hour ago. I like it a lot, so much so that I have it pretty high up on my season pass list.

Consider me a huge fan. Dunno why, but I like it. Do not like the name too much in copying 60 minutes kind of. But still a fan.

I saw the opening tonight, which might be the gayest thing I've ever seen on TV disguised as a serious journalism show.

Hey, let's show all of our reporters supposedly hard at work while hustling to the studio for an editorial meeting, and let's film that editorial meeting to prove their credentials as serious reporters.

Uh, if you need those kinds of props to prove your journalism cred, then you probably didn't have any to start with. You never see that bullsh*t with "60 Minutes," the model for this show, did you? The opening of that show features highlights of each of the stories for that night, with the famous clicking stopwatch, not some ham-fisted, vain attempt to prove the reporters' street cred.

And if you don't have an "E" in your name, I guess it's impossible to be a reporter on this show, right? After all, ESPN couldn't use that ridiculous stylized "E" when it identifies each reporter in the open.

I watched a bit of the story on the statch rape case, and the reporter arguing in the editorial meeting that this story had it all, "sex ... " As soon as I heard that, I winced. Yeah, let's sensationalize sex among teens. That's a great sports story.

All flash, no substance. So typically ESPN. Tom Mees must be rolling in his grave, God rest his soul.

I second goblue's ode to the late, great D*ck Schaap. He was an oasis of journalistic ethics and balanced reporting on ESPN, and I hope Jeremy follows his path. Sadly, I fear Jeremy will become "ESPNized" for the sake of ratings, something to which his father never would have succumbed.

They are staged,

All you have to do is listen to them on the radio to realize that. When they are on the radio together they get along like best friends. Mostly agreeing with each other. It's just when they are on SC do they act like that.

Ralph Wiley was also great...I personally can't stand Lupica and the like, it's all self promotion it seems. Albom is a fake who has gotten caught.
